Sought advice from Biketreks (Mike) on new, wider-fitting road cycling shoes as the Specialized brand that they stock had been recommended to me by another local retailer. After 45 mins, I had a comprehensive understanding of why my previous shoes were causing me pain, and how the Specialized shoes would solve my issues. We tried 4 pairs at various pricepoints so that I also understood how they differed from one another. Mike also checked the positioning and fitted my cleats from my original pair.
Despite my purchase being significantly beyond my original budget, I have nothing but praise for the service and knowledge I received. Thank you Mike.

I broke a potentially extremely expensive part on my gravel bike. Dropped in to Biketreks at Ings and the mechanics got on the case immediately. They managed to make an effective repair with the existing parts and in super quick time, saving me several hundreds of £’s. Much appreciated 😁😁👍

Fantastic service through the online store! Item I ordered (that was half price) was out of stock, offered to replace straight away for an item that wasn't reduced. Received the order only a day or so later.
Staff in emails were friendly and even included a message on a contact card. Definitely plan to shop here more in the future.

Called in here today just “making enquiries” about a new e-bike. Most impressed with the salesman John. Attentive, knowledgeable and not pushy. Very good brand ambassador for Specialized bikes…. and a very nice guy!

I booked on for a demo day with Bike Treks to try the new specialized e-bike range. The staff were attentive and nothing was a problem. I appreciated there honest advice and suggestions. I am more than happy with bikes and would highly recommend Bike Treks. Good Job !!!

Recently had my e-bike serviced at the the Ings store what an excellent job they did runs better now than when first bought will definitely use again. Highly recommend them.

We had been talking about getting my wife some Assos shorts. After a shopping trip up to Ambleside, we called in at the Pret shop at Ings for some lunch. We noticed the Assos sign on the door of Biketreks, so after lunch we went in. Wishing ten minutes she had tried some shorts on, picked the ones she wanted and bought them.

On holiday in the Lakes and needed a bolt for my bike as the seat post one had stripped. Called in on the off chance and they showed me a selection of bolts to take. It worked perfect and they didn’t even charge me for it. Saved my cycling holiday and brilliant service.

Amazing serviceJohn and Dan. I bought a bike through this shop and had a lot of questions over the period of few days and before my bike was built. My emails were always answered very quickly and my questions and concerns presented with alternatives. That put my mind at rest and made the whole experience of purchasing the bike a pleasent one. John and Dan were constantly switched on via mail, phone and when i arrived to pick the bike i was told much about the area, where to find trails and where to ride. I was treated the way i prefer to be treated in the shop also, i could browse items uninterrupted and when i wanted to ask question there was always someone i could approach and ask. I will be back to this place for more.

I’ve been going to Biketreks for well over 10 years, first when in the UK and ever since living abroad. Bought several Orange bikes, and plenty of gear, and I have to say, great service from the start, but when I need support or warranty they have been outstandingly good. To me, that shows the quality of Biketreks, Mike and the guys commitment to providing a properly great level of service. 5 stars.

Bike Treks Hire Grizdale

Whilst on holiday my bike broke and couldnt be fixed.

Decided to hire a full sus eBike from the team and they were so helpful, advising on routes, and setting the bike up just right.

Had one of the best days out on a bike doing the recommended Grizedale three.

Brilliant friendly and helpful team, hiring excellent well maintained bikes.

I came back from Switzerland for a weekend ride with my mates but sold my old Alpine 160 and had no bike. Biketreks sorted me out with a great Orange, expert advice and total enthusiasm for the sport. They then helped me out with a service on the sold bike, helped me box it up and could not have been better. 5 Stars. Thanks again to all the staff there, your service was exceptional and it was just great to talk mountain bikes with people that love it as much as I do.

Bought some bib-shorts online from biketreks recently, the service was fantastic, along with the price! They kept me updated by email about my purchase from ordering to delivery. When I can finally get to the lakes for a few days I'll definitely be calling in.

A great shop for high end road bikes and electric bikes. No mountain bikes (unless you want electric). Fantastic customer service. All the team were friendly and chatty with a huge amount of knowledge. Nothing was too much of an ask. John was particularly knowledgeable and friendly.

Me and my wife are a couple who enjoy the outdoors and also appreciate good service. We are regular visitors to the Lake District and although we are not locals to the area we consider Biketreks our most reliable place to get good advice and cycling merchandise. We have bought various bits and pieces, bikes included, from both the treks stores, Ambleside and Ings, both have a good set up with attentive staff. It is tiresome to read all about negative feedback so I am making a stand for the positive bike shops. We have received only the best of service and the most sound advice from this little bike shop concern in the Lakes. Hip hip hooray to the staff and Thankyou we will be back soon. 🚴‍♀🚴🏻xx

There's a great selection of bikes, and the staff are incredibly helpful (Keith was really helpful with finding the right helmet). They got my bike set up, talked me through everything, and were happy to answer any questions.

Dropped into their friendly shop a few months ago and subsequently placed an order for some Adidas sunglasses by email..

The product itself (Halfrim Pro) is great but the lengths the team (esp Keith) went to to advise and ensure hasty delivery was first class - certainly don't get that from the "big 4" online retailers. Highly recommend them!

Had a bit of a disaster with a very broken MTB rear mech on Tuesday afternoon. I rang up BikeTreks at 5:30pm who advised me to bring my bike in first thing the next morning as they had the required part in stock. I took my bike in at 9am, got a text at around 10am to say the new rear mech had been fitted. All running perfectly since! Very impressed with the service from Bike Treks.

I purchased an Blur Carbon bike from these guys, and had a problem out of warranty, Sarah managed to convince Santa Cruz to send me a new main frame, so I basically got a new bike! Great service as well, top people.

Got caught out with a disc brake problem whilst away in the Lake District.. Sam was extremely helpful and sorted the problem the same day - great value very fair indeed for the work done.
Highly recommended to all cyclists 🚴🏽
