Outstanding cafe - I contacted to see if they could help me with a special takeaway afternoon tea and Amanda could not of been more helpful. The afternoon tea was exceptional and priced perfectly- sandwich choice fab and all sandwiches delicious, beautiful sausage rolls and pork pies, salad, scrumptious scones complete with both clotted cream or butter and jam and an amazing selection of cakes. Amanda and team could not have been more helpful- due to poor weather we needed to switch the day the afternoon tea was required at short notice and Amanda was so accommodating - thank you Amanda and Sugar & Spice - we will always pop in when we are in Windermere - highly recommend and if you want afternoon tea - particularly to take away then Sugar & Spice should be your first choice.

Really friendly people, our server was pleasant, friendly and comical. They are happy to accommodate and the food didn't take long to arrive. They serve soya in case you need an alternative to milk. Coffee was good tasting and hot, so to sum up, lovely little cafe with friendly staff and good quality food. Prices are on a par with other cafés in the area. Worth a visit.

This is a great place for a full English breakfast. Excellent sausage, bacon and egg plus beans, toast, tomato and a crispy hash brown. Added a black pudding at the behest of Boothroyd Bear. So superior to where we ate close by yesterday and significantly cheaper. Friendly staff. They operate as a bar later in the day. Also excellent taste in music. Will remember for next visit to Windermere....which is May 2024 with Ric. Still excellent.

I had a quick lunch here whilst passing through Windermere. The food was tasty, the staff friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere just what I wanted (local maps and artwork on the walls, David Bowie playing on the turntable).

Staff were very friendly and made us aware of what they hadn't got before we saw the menu which was helpful. Cakes (Victoria Sponge, Lemon Drizzle and Chocolate Fudge Cake) were delightful and milkshake was lovely. Even managed to order a couple of sausages for the dog...would recommend and will revisit if we get the chance. 👍🏻

The staff were so cool. They were able to cater to our larger party, really well. The atmosphere was great and the food didn't disappoint.

The staff are very hospitable and very welcoming. I loved the wall decorations and the setting of the cafe. I enjoyed my full English breakfast and cappuccino.

There was also a vegan option which tasted nice. We were told the food would take about 25 minutes but it came much faster. The cafe is clean and conducive. It was an enjoyable time there and I would surely recommend it to anyone.

Confession. I didn't have food personally but those in our group who did enjoyed it. Dog friendly (the dogs were very well behaved btw!) and really lovely staff who greeted every customer that came in this morning and very welcoming. A group of us met there before heading out today. I would definitely return. Really pleasant atmosphere ❤

Brilliant little cafe in Windermere - great choice of food especially for allergies (& very tasty too!)! Would definitely recommend and visit again! Made to feel so welcome and run by locals too! Thank you we will be returning!

I had the full English breakfast and it was wonderful. I’ve been trying them at various places in the country as I’m traveling around England at the moment, and this is by far the best one I’ve had yet. Very inexpensive as well - my full English was only £8.95 (I had a £1 up charge because I added black pudding) I highly recommended you stop here if you’re in the area.

A group of 10 female friends came for our BOOKED lunch on the Friday afternoon at the start of our three night stay in Windermere. We were seated altogether in a lovely room just off from the main restaurant. The food and service was excellent. We all said we would definitely return.

We came to Windermere for a day and we wanted to try the British afternoon tea. No reservations or anything, just walked in. The staff was lovely and everything was nice. My favourite part was the freshly baked scones 😍

Really lovely quiet little cafe. Super autism friendly in the way they serve their food and the atmosphere in the place. Great prices and delicious food. Highly recommend.

Very welcoming, the waiter was very helpful with my request for a gluten free cheese onion and mushroom pancake and Japanese cherry herbal tea.
The chef made just what I asked for and it tasted just how I imagined. be back there nxt time 😁 my hubby enjoy his goats cheese and red onion panini 😋

Excellent food and good atmosphere. Was reading the few negative reviews on here and they must be talking about a diferent place. The owners responses to those blatantly false bad reviews made me laugh. If we are ever in Windermere again we will definately be back.

My partner and I visited yesterday morning. We'd searched places nearby that were still serving breakfast. To my delight this place came up and stated it served breakfast until 11:45. We'd already looked at the menu and it ticked all the boxes. Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly welcome and advised to take a seat. The service was warm and efficient, they accommodated my breakfast request and the food tasted amazing. Just what we wanted on a cold day. It's a cosy, intimate little café and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We're hoping to go again today before our journey home. Thank you sugar and sugar 🙂

The staff extremely welcoming & friendly. The Full English breakfast was freshly cooked & delish! Good value.

Nice coffee & brunch spot, tried savoury pancakes for the first time and would definitely have them again, so delicious!
