The Tilly Bar and Kitchen

First meal in Windermere, and we came here because of the positive reviews.

Food did not disappoint and my son commented that the sea bream was as good as what he had in Portugal. The sharing platter and fish and chips were excellent too.

Best part is that it is located right in the centre of town.

Lovely, the staff were warm and welcoming great value for money. Quick service. We shouldn't have had starters as we couldn't finish the main dish, so recommend you visit hungry! Fish was very crisp and meal was hot, platter was adapted to remove the cheese. Very accommodating

We came here three times during our four-night stay in the Lake District. All the food we had was delicious - no complaints at all. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Popped in for brunch today. Great americano coffee followed by King Prawns and chorizo, Duck Spring roll with plum sauce & garlic bread. Absolutely delicious!! Great value for money and very pleasant location with cheerful staff all adds up to a nice experience and memory!

The most amazing GF fish and chips! Bit pricey but totally worth it for the amazing food and service. Great menu that caters to all, very friendly staff, beautiful venue.

Superb food and atmosphere. Cosy and welcoming. Delicious, good quality food, generous portions and value. We had the steak and ale pie and goats cheese and chicken salad which was lovely and really great skinny fries!

We were looking for a place where it would have a variety of food in Windermere area and we found this place. I had fish & Chips which was a huge and very good and the wife had some veggie Pizza which she liked. We also had some wine to start with and accompanied with some marinated olives which I liked a lot. The waiter and waitress were very nice and treated us very nicely. Totally recommended.

Wonderful evening at this cosy, warm, buzzing local restaurant run by Abigail and Liam who are absolutely lovely owners. Met them at the table next to us and had a wonderful interaction, learning a bit about Windermere and the surroundings.
Food is great, just what you need and yet a wide variety of options from your typical pub classics (burgers etc.) to calamari and soup as starters through to pizzas and sea bream (which was incredible!!!!). Good music, good toilet facilities incl baby changing and fair value for money round off this great experience. Paid £50 for two with above dishes plus pint of beer. Will definitely come back!

Lovely to sit outside in the sunshine and have a super meal. Great menu choice. We both opted for the sour dough pizza and they were absolutely delicious. Prompt and friendly service too

Lovely place, great food & drinks, attentive staff!

Fantastic place to eat. We received a warm welcome and we’re quickly seated. The staff were amazing with a great sense of humour. We shared the pig platter with a couple of sides and it was all amazing. The pulled pork was some of the best I have tasted. Well worth a visit.

Doing a road trip from Edinburgh to London, we decided to stay here in Windermere for one night. We strolled the village to check out where to eat and decided on The Tilly. Their curry sounded too good to pass up so we both ordered it, one as a chicken curry, the other as a prawn curry. In both cases it was substantial and magnificent! The Lancaster Bomber beer of the week was great too. Staff were nice and friendly and attentive. I recommended The Tilly!👍

Great atmosphere and great food. I had the rolled pork belly and the pigs in blankets. Both amazing. Even during a busy dinner service everything was perfect. Don't have a dog, but they're dog friendly too!

I came here the other day and I was really content when I left, food was amazing specially the goat's chesse salad(best one I ever had) service was really good and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed, 5 out of 5 stars no doubt.

My burger was turning heads on its way to my table, while on the capable hands of the kind waitress!

It was probably the best burger I’ve had in my entire life. The goat cheese was so flavoursome and the pork almost did not require any chewing.

Had a lovely meal. A sharing platter that left us both replete. Staff were very friendly and the service was very quick especially considering how busy it was. Would definitely go back again.

The environment was nice and clean, though there were some massive flies flying around trying to get out. Must've been the food's delicious aroma that trapped them in the first place.

Ordered a pigs platter and a parma ham pizza. It tasted quite fresh and delicious. The pigs platter was indeed a lot of pork, grilled and baked and cooked in different various ways. Not sure the name of it, but my favorite was the loose pork on the platter that looked like a sludge. It's like something you'd eat to accompany chips like Doritos, but it was absolutely delicious and my favorite. The pizza was great too, matching the quality of other famous pizza restaurants like pizza express. But maybe even better because it's probably fresher.

Had a great meal out during our weekend away. Service was quick and friendly and the food was brilliant.

Would definitely come back again!
