Ebb & Flow

We visited Kingswear for New Year, staying in a local Airbnb. Whilst walking the dog earlier one morning I saw Ebb and Flow and got a friendly wave through the window.

I ended up buying breakfast to go from there twice on the trip and it was delicious. Plus the team were nice enough to point out all the local things in the area we should see and try.

On the Friday evening we saw they were open for fish and chips too, so grabbed three portions of chips to go, and they were nice too.

If you're in the area, pop in, you won't regret it. Vegan and gluten free options too.

Visited Ebb & Flow in Kingswear whilst on a short break in Dartmouth recently. My wife was diagnosed with Coeliac disease, out of the blue, a couple of years ago and trying to find gluten free food, when out and about, in the UK is extremely difficult. The number of times we have heard "we can offer you vegetables or salad" etc.

I found Ebb & Flow following extensive research, in relation to a gluten free breakfast and lunch options in the Dartmouth area. What initially caught my attention was the gluten free sausages on offer and indeed the whole gluten free breakfast. I rang up and spoke to a very helpful and pleasant person who clearly understood the nature of my wifes condition, which reassured me that it would be a safe place to eat.
I reserved a table for my family in advance to avoid disappointment. We arrived in the morning as arranged and everything was ready for us. The setting was perfect overlooking the Dart estuary on a beautiful crisp winters morning.

The owners Jess and Sian were very welcoming and cleary understood and took the necessary precautions when preparing my wife's food, making sure it was cooked separately with no cross contamination. My wife was in her elements being able to eat a wonderfully cooked breakfast especially the sausage. It makes all the difference not having to make do with whatever can be found in the kitchen just to be able to eat out with the family.

I happened to mention that it was my wife's birthday and they made the occasion extra special by offering a free birthday cake to my wife.

I can not recommend Ebb & Flow enough if you are visiting Kingswear or Dartmouth. A big thank you to Jess and Sian for making a short family break extra special.

I decided to try this cafe whilst on holiday and did not regret it. The decor is really cute and the cakes and sandwiches are delicious. I would definitely recommend if you're visiting Kingswear or Dartmouth!

I had the perfect oat milk flat white here this morning with a perfect fresh and fluffy croissant.
The staff are super friendly and it's a lovely place to stop for a bit before continuing one's walk. It's also dog friendly. Lovely place, ticks all the boxes.

Best coffee in the village and possibly Dartmouth. Lovely breakfasts and lovely staff. We went with children and a dog and they were very accommodating.

Adorable café, lovely breakfasts, worth a visit if you're in the area

Went in for a bite to eat for lunch and ended up having mashed avocado on sourdough toast, with seeds and a peppery tasting oil. It was very nice.
Had a mocha coffee which was not sweet which is unusual but I like it like that. The two ladies that run the place are very friendly and easy to chat to.
The place has a nice atmosphere and great views over the marina at Kingswear.
The steam train chuffed it's way out of the station adding to the ambiance.

Tasty home cooked food, friendly, attentive service, all with a lovely view of the estuary thrown in for free

Great little place with plenty to chose from and lots of options for vegan/ dairy free/ nut free. Will definitely be back. We booked a table, and would do again to make sure we get a seat on a wet day!

I had walked on the coast path from Brixham on a very sunny day. There were no facilities on the way so I was ready. Fantastic welcome, great ethics & delicious food/drinks. This business deserves to do well - go visit!

I was attending the Dart Music Fest this year with a few friends. We went to Ebb and Flow 3 times! Jess and Sian are super friendly and make you feel very welcomed into their cafe. I got the full English, bacon bap and ultimate bap over 3 days - YUM. See you next year! X

Just had a great cup of latte and had a chat with the lovely young woman who served me. Plan to head back there tomorrow before we leave this beautiful part of the country. Gerry G

Popped in twice while in Kingswear for a wedding. We enjoyed lovely loose tea and coffees with simple and well prepared english breakfast combinations.

Really friendly staff serving fantastic fresh food. Staff made you feel comfortable and they always welcomed our dog Rudy with a little treat.
