What a beautiful one off experience. Highly recommended. Lots of stairs so be warned but the views, sound of the sea, history etc make up for it!

Firstly, Kingswear Castle isn't somewhere you can go and visit. It's a holiday cottage, run by the Landmark Trust.
As a place to go and stay for a few days, it's amazing. Where else can you live in a Castle right on the rocks by the sea for a few days. Inside it's cozy and warm (well, the living rooms anyway) and it does feel like a castle. The view from the roof terrace is stunning and the grounds are lovely. We've stayed twice now and loved it each time.

Stayed there for 5 days. Iconic. Unrivalled position, not for the faint hearted, lots of steps and stairs.

I got there, the road is very beautiful, but the castle is private and cannot be visited, the place is wonderful
