Great place, went for a spectacular which didn't disappoint. No toilets and nowhere nearby to eat if you go on foot (if you go in April at least as they're closed), so you'll need to drive off for food or take supplies. The walk to the reserve is simple - you can't get lost as it's all one path up to the sea. A good mix of songbirds and sea birds.

A cold, cloudy and windy day but this meant we virtually had the place to ourselves. Fantastic views out over the mudflats to the wash and so many different birds to spot. Beautiful hides around the lake with great views of all the birds. Thoroughly recommend a visit and only £3.00 for parking

Wow! Unbelievable, the Knot spectacular is fabulous, it should be one of the 7 wonders of the world!!!!!!!!
Be prepared to walk, the paths were very muddy when we visited (spring)
The Knotts landing hide is the best hide I have ever seen, it's actually a bungalow- a maze ing
(Didn't stop some animal leaving their rubbish though!!)
This reserve is fantastic☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Fantastic birding spot, the mud flats provide great habitat for many birds you may struggle to see elsewhere. However, be prepared for a decent walk from the car park. Which, if you are up for it is very worth the effort.

It's worth the walk down to the mudflats, lakes, and beach for the wildlife.

Long walk to viewing area but well worth it. Amazing to see all the waders coming in off the beach at high tide. One of the best wildlife spectacles I have seen.

One of, if not the best Nature Reserve in the area. So many birds to see, there's a great walk around the lakes passing several hides. The beach is stunning tide in or out. it's very dog friendly. If you want an off lead beach walk, go right, for the nature reserve (dogs on lead) go left.

Had a great day at RSPB Snettisham and saw many birds along the shore and in the lagoons. Do time it well if you want to see the spectaculars (there’s info on the website about what days and times to go) but great place even if you don’t see them. The new hide at the south end is well designed and even has cushions to borrow.

Lovely walks around the lakes & along the coast. Tricky with a buggy due to there being stairs that it's needed csrrying over and down

40,000 knot, 5,000 bar tailed godwit. Dawn on a Spring high tide🐦🐦 Fantastic!! It’s not surprising that this coastline has been listed for World Heritage status as part of the East Atlantic Flyway. And so it should be! It’s worth reading the tide times. Titchwell has a tide timetable which explains exactly when to visit - we waited three months to catch the best spring tide. Though it’s generally amazing all year round.

As far as I am concerned all of the rspb sites are tops but this one I only drove past but this year I will visit then I will let you know..hi back again this is now 7sept 2020 we stayed in digleas camp site and visited this site .where we had bought fish and chips. We then spent about an hour or so sitting down beside the lake on a fisherman area eating and watching. We saw ducks geese swallow wren moorhen gulls pigeon. Just to name a few. And the chip were lovely. Car park is big enough for about a hundred cars. You can walk to the far end and there is a second lake with a bridge to cross and you can eventually come to the beach. Our time spent there was about two hours before sunset. Geese flew over and Landed in Field behind for about 40 mins then flew off again hope pics show. Since writing this review the fishing club have erected a chain link fence around so it totally spoils the view and makes it look like a prison. If this is for safety then ok but if this is for stopping people fishing at night. Then I feel sorry for the fishing club. But it has certainly made the place ugly........

One of our favourite RSPB sites and it's all dog friendly too, just remember your pet's lead and poo bags please! Such a wide variety of species of birds and waders to see as well as the 4 hides to visit and get a close up view. Knot's Landing is a relatively new hide, opened by Chris Packham, and is a must for photographers... during this visit we counted 11 spoonbills and 17 little egrets. Time it right and there's stunning views over the Wash too. There is parking, payment by machine (though free to RSPB members you still need a ticket + membership card). It's a beautiful part of our countryside so please just go see it...
NB: There are no onsite toilets!!

A unique and very special place.
It's not just about the birds you might see. But it's also about the amazing views across the Wash. More akin to a mud like moonscape.
The mix of birds you'll see will of course vary through the seasons.
Autumn and Winter is best but the weather at its harshest. Wrap up warm.
Often when the tide is out and the shore line is a least 2 miles away,, you'll think there's very little out there. But scan a bit harder an more closely and you'll find Dunlins frantically probing the mud, Curlews using their long curved beaks to extract juicy worms. Marsh Harriers over the salt marsh, Red Kites checking for carrion. Snow Buntings and Linnet picking seeds from the strandline. Goldeneye plunging under the lagoons. Skeins of Pink footed geese forming V's at mornjng to feed, at night returning to roost
The best times are when wintering waders move South in their 100's of thousands, Knot making up nearly a third, plus at least a dozen other waders
On the highest tides driven back from the shoreline and dropping into the pit furthest South, to instinctively wait for the turn, packing tight on the shingle banks. Check YouTube to get a sense of arguably the best natural spectacle in the country. And check RSPB Titchwells website to find the best high tide times to be wowed

Lovely place for an afternoon stroll enjoying all the birds. And then heading out to the beach for the sunset. Free parking for RSPB members.

Amazing murmurations. So many birds and we saw the Pink footed geese fly over early morning. Worth getting up early for.
