I have brought my family for a day trip and my 3 year old and 14 year loved it. The staff are amazing, prices very reasonable, the bread making experience was fun, the history and going up the mill was really interesting and they have really made an effort explaining how it all worked. The views are great and you can walk out on the outside. Even my 3 year old wanted to do that. We had chosen a rainy day but if it was dry they have a sand pit and slide etc to enjoy. Getting a 14 year off his gadgets and experience he even said that it was fun. The food is great with fresh bread, buns scones, cupcakes to buy. Nest time we are in this area we will definitely return .

Great to see a working milll and go up inside. Staff were helpful. Bread smells amazing. Cafe had run out of few things as we arrived at 1:45pm. Food was average and milkshake was poor so avoid those. All in all a pleasant day out.

We really enjoyed our visit here. Lots of free car parking. The tearooms were lovely and the food was excellent. There is a nice gift shop attached. The gardens were pretty and some activities for young children. The barns had activities in them. The windmill has a bakery at the bottom. The stairs in the windmill are small/steep and only for the able! The children felt a great achievement in getting to the top and coming back down again! My elderly parents still really enjoyed their time even without going up the windmill.
We chose to make some bread from scratch which we really enjoyed. Everything is laid out ready and full instructions. Good idea to do this first as it takes time to do, then you can enjoy doing something else while your bread bakes.

Camping - Great site with extra touches like clean shower mats for your own personal use, clean tea towels, washing up facilities etc. Facilities were clean. Loved being able to visit the windmill and get to find out the history and restoration. Cafe and bakery excellent, I even bought some dough and cooked some buns in my remoska (I don't usually bake!!). I usually just use a campsite to get from A to B, but I actually spent time on this site and thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the horse and donkey coming to say good morning each day!

We were a party òf 2 adults and 4 children, ages of which were 5, 10, 14 and 16. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and attentive. All the young staff were really good too. Our kids enjoyed making their bread as they love experiential outings, even more so when they can eat what they've made. 😉

We spent a few hours there and it was an interesting little place. You can get to the top of the windmill via the inner floor room and work your way up. There are various dressing up boxes with old work gear in there for photo opportunities. Everything outside the windmill was very clean and looked after and the kitchen inside the windmill is a working kitchen where they bake your bread and make goodies for the shop and cafe. The windmill decor was obviously made to look old and worn to take you back in time to a working mill, It did the trick.

There are various places to sit down if you wish to and the cafe is there of course for refreshments and yummy food. 😋 dogs are welcome on the outside but not inside the bakery or Mill. There were also a horse and donkey there to pet. Some play areas for the kids, with slides and ridealong toys. There are also various activities in each area to play with.

Can't fault it. Would recommend just for the experience. As I said all of us enjoyed it and we took part in everything as well. The kids want to go again next week so it can't be that bad haha.

We traveled here from Lowestoft for the day, me and my mum done a belles coaches trip here when I was a little girl and I wanted to take my two boys, it was worth the travel it is such a nice and well run little windmill you can climb to the top, bake bread, make your own butter and bake tarts etc, the cafe was reasonable and nice food was presented ! There is a small play area and activities to do around the windmill really nice and fun family day!

Been coming here for over 30 years. One of my favourite attractions in Norfolk, perfect for a drizzly day if staying around Hunstanton.

Good in the cafe is excellent, the bread and cakes on the bakery are superb, a trip up the windmill is a lot of fun, and the kids areas (play area, some museum/activity bits) are extremely good value for money.

Well worth a visit, the windmill is fantastic, the views from the middle and the top are amazing. We also had food, I can highly recommend the ploughman's lunch and the all day breakfast. The kids made a loaf, we had that later, really good.

Great experience for the children to make their own bread rolls in all shapes. Quaint museum and choldrdns play area. Lovely cafe with good choice of freshly baked bread and cakes. I believe its attached to a camp site was not aware they had rooms to rent.

We found this spot which is a wee bit out of our way but we will absolutely return.... LOTS of times. It's just lovely. You can visit the mill. Buy yummy bread in their store. The food that's served is delicious and reasonable price. Service by the staff great. Cant fault it. The young man serving us was absolutely lovely and helpful. Even got skimmed milk for my cup of tea which was actually 2 cups as it was served in a pot. We loved it and will be back very soon.

Just popped along for a breakfast and to pick up some take away cakes, whilst on holiday. Breakfast was really nice with good portions and the cakes were yummy. The place felt very welcoming and the service was great. Staff went out of their way to help us (My son is a wheelchair user).

This place is great for a fun couple of hours (rainy day). We loved our visit, lots for kids to do and explore. Unfortunately we were unable to make the bread as it had dairy in the dough but they refunded us straight away and delt with it perfectly.
The cafe was great with unlimited coffee refills and something for all diets to choose.
Wli purchased some oats and bread flour as well as a toy for the gift shop.
Will definitely be returning on a sunnier day. Thank you Bircham Windmill

We visited today, and all I can say is its perfectly splendid, bread making, butter churning, climbing to the top of the windmill, animals, play areas for little ones, and the facilities are wonderful. The tearoom offers a very wide selection of everything, so something for all the family, we loved it!

We use the Bircham Windmill as the pre-arranged start (and finish) for a 8-mile route for our walking group.

Easy parking and good facilities and the bonus of an excellent cafe at the end of our walk. We were there chatting for a good, long, slow hour post-walk. Great stuff….
