Excellent breakfast and delicious coffee they made my breakfast to my liking and removed and added items for me. The owners and staff are friendly. The atmosphere is lovely, warm and welcoming was clean and tidy. Tables were spotless and they had a great selection of condiments on the table. very fast and efficient service despite it being a busy Saturday. we will defiantly be returning and will tell all our family, friends and neighbours to visit.

We are very local to this café and have visited on a weekly basis since it reopened. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food was very nice. Every time we have been in there have been quite a few customers in and, considering it’s still only February, that bodes well for the forthcoming season. It’s good to know that the Mill café has a new lease of life. We wish them the best of luck.

Really disappointed with the whole visit. I am local and wanted to support a new business. Unfortunately the staff were unprofessional and lacked training. The tables weren’t stocked with sugar (empty jar which I asked to be refilled).
Our basic breakfast orders were taken but the details not noted so therefore not fulfilled properly. The glasses hadn’t been properly rinsed and tasted of detergent. My sandwich was delivered on a tiny plate with the food hanging off and dragging along the table. Food was not delivered on a tray, and was brought without any cutlery. The toast was hardly toasted and cold. On complaining the offer was to ‘reheat it’. Unfortunately, when asked why I had left the loyalty card on the table, and receiving my reply “we won’t be returning “, there was no interest as to why. We were not asked whether everything was ok during our time there and I witnessed food and drinks carried in an unhygienic manner. I am so disappointed that this opportunity to provide a good cafe for locals and visitors, falls far short. I am leaving an honest review as my comments at the time of the visit were not met with any apparent interest/concern.

I live locally, the mill cafe has been closed for a while, as it is opened again thought I would give it a try. Only had coffee and a slice of cake, which came to £7.60 Very expensive for what it was. The choice of cakes was very limited.. The muffins were the type you buy in the shop. As far as I could see it was only the one cake that was home baked. Avoid. Go a couple of extra miles to three cocks, better selection and freshly made scones every day!!

We used to visit the Mill when it was the Bakers Table on a regular basis and the food was fresh and local.
Sadly the new custodians have strayed far from that( Bookers specials I think). When asked do you use the bread from the Bakery (Pobl) the response was “it’s Hovis love”,not very professional.
You have amazing local produce on your doorstep so use it!.
Waited over an hour and then food that arrived was appalling and expensive for such poor quality.
Dirty cutlery and glasses and we had to wash our clothes from the stench of fried food.
Sadly we won’t recommend or visit again.
I’m sorry but I’m being honest!.
