White Hart Inn

A lovely place, run by a local family. They are so generous! Served us breakfast when we had nowhere to go and were so generous with their time. Loved sitting on the outside with a view of the valley, having a pint in the sun!

It was the highlight of our trip. The family who owns the inn are amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like home and went out of their way to help us. Would definitely visit again.

On first impressions it’s not a stand out- but the food and service was absolutely amazing- could not fault. Best food that been tasted for a long time- absolutely brilliant: kids loved it too. Good little play area, not loud or boisterous inside, dog friendly. All in all 10/10 😀

Wonderful food! Very tasty! All homemade, that's obvious! Good selection of drinks and warm friendly staff. Very inviting and a nice welcome. Nothing too much trouble!

Loved this place stayed for 2 nights for work and all I can say is don't judge a book by its cover, my room was lovely and very clean. All the staff were brilliant and friendly even the locals were nice.

The food was amazing I had burgers on both nights and they were both amazing, lots of beer to pick from.

The breakfast I would have to say has to be in my top 10 I have had while working away (I stay in around 3 different hotels a week) I will say that the portions are very generous so if you only little bit hungry maybe go for a light bite.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would will be staying again.

My family and I booked to in an air bnb a few miles away and came across this place for a bite to eat in the evening.

Beautiful setting, with forest views in the distance and recently refurbished inside.

The staff were amazing from start to finish and very accommodating.

Overall, a very pleasant experience and would not hesitate to come again.

The bar manager and staff are a credit to the business!

Staying in Ross on wye we came across this pub while out for the day. Sunday roast was excellent and was piping hot. Staff were lovely very accommodating friendly. If your passing pop in you won't be disappointed

Liz and the guys at the white hart did our Wedding reception on Halloween.
They were absolutely amazing they supplied a buffet for 40 people and also decorated in halloween decor. Faultless, liz went above and beyond. Food was amazing no complaints from anyone! We also stayed over. The room was spotless and well presented.
Breakfast next morning included in the room cost was also great. I cant fault the white hart. Thank you guys for being so amazing!!

Came in on a cold and wet Wednesday evening. The place was deserted, we were welcomed by great staff who checked that food was still being served before we ordered anything as it was so quiet. Food available, what a great choice of vegetarian options and the portions were huge. Such good value and so tasty. Our dog was offered a bowl of water in spite of barking at anyone who came past. She was welcomed as much as we were. Excellent WiFi too. Lovely local with such friendly staff and regulars. Thank you

It looks recently refurbished inside and spotless! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

There is a great selection of drinks on tap and there is a good selection of bottles drinks as well.

The food is incredible, especially for the price you pay. If you want a hearty, flavoursome and good looking meal, look no further! If you go past this place and don't try it, you've missed out on something special!

Excellent friendly pub with beautifully presented rooms and delicious food.

Great little local, staff were extremely friendly especially the lady on bar and the young lad from the Kitchen. The food was really nice, we had chilli cheese bites to start with which are a must have and then burgers for mains. The quality of the beef burger was amazing and the balsamic dressing on the salads was incredible. They also do Guiness on tap. Would like to note that the portions are huge, it was like an episode of man vs food. But all in all this gets a 5/5 from us!

Stopped for lunch on our way through the Forest of Dean. Good location, ample parking too! Friendly staff who were polite and attentive.
Food was great value for money. Great tasting and generous portion sizes!

All bad reviews must have been before the new owners and renovations. Just stayed a weekend here with my partner and here's what we though:
-owners are amazing, kind, welcoming people who instantly felt like friends taking care of us every moment we stayed. They always went the extra mile to ensure we had a lovely weekend.
-food was out of this world, the burgers are on another level. It was all freshly cooked and hot. I don't think I've ever had a burger so good, we found out it's all locally sourced beef from a local farmer/butcher.
- room was clean and very modern with a comfy bed and great shower, and even after 2 nights the room still smelt like flowers.
-breakfast was perfect, Twiz makes everything to order and made whatever we wanted from full English to just some toast.
- Could hardly hear the bar at night from the room, had no issues sleeping even when we knew the bar was noisy.
- on arrival we saw some customers arguing in the bar, this was bad timing but the situation was diffused in seconds by the owner and handled very well, to Apologize she left a little gift in our room for us which was unnecessary but so lovely and just sums up the attitude and personality of the owners.

100% would recommend the White Hart Inn to absolutely anyone!

Popped in one Saturday early evening in September on the way home from a dog walk in the forest. They were so welcoming and accommodating, giving us a nice table outside with plenty of space to put our baby seat. The food was excellent and the landlady was so nice, she kept checking we were okay and made sure we had everything we needed. Even though this was an off chance drop in it was such a nice place, when we’re up this way again we’ll definitely plan to come back here and have dinner again. Thank you

Ginormous portions, very quick and friendly service, very yammi food. There is also a nice kiddy play area. Has a feeling of a nice local pub but was very welcoming for non-locks like ourselves, too.

We chose the White Hart Inn because they were Dog friendly and had good reviews. We really enjoyed our short stay, the room was really nice with a separate room for the kids. Everyone was really friendly and couldn't do more for us. Food and drink was very reasonably priced. And one of best Full English Breakfasts we've ever had. We will definitely stay again!
