Wyboston Lakes Golf Club

Had 2 rounds and an overnight stay here in September 23. The course is very nice. Greens were slow day one but had had a torrent of rain the day before. Day 2 they were much better as the greenkeepers had managed to cut them.
The hotel was also very nice - spotlessly clean. Food was lovely, both evening meal and breakfast.
Overall would definitely recommend. A nice gentle course with no hills whatsoever

We went to Wyboston Lakes on corporate golf day and it was a fabulous experience. The course was very wet even though it was a beautiful day and hadn’t been that wet that week so it obviously holds a lot of water naturally which will be amazing in a long hot dry summer, but does mean you need to watch out for the odd puddle and you can hit a bit of a dead spot with a ball occasionally.

The Gravel Pit is a nice area to have for the 19th with a good selection of beers including premium brands and non alcoholic ones.

Really nice surprise I came across while passing through town. Free co-working space also. Will definitely come back.

Great course for us mid to high handicappers who created our own little tournament. Some challenging holes where course management is needed over distance. Hotel was very nice and the food was great. Can't fault the service. We had a power cut during our stay which meant we couldn't have our dinner here but they sorted us with lunch the next day.

where do i begin had such a lovely time here we chose the 12:30 slot which helped us as there next lot where on the green at 2, the whole 18 holes took just under 4 hrs to complete, and we only lost 3 balls out of 12 that we bought on the day. would recommend and cant wait to do again, left me absolutely knackered.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two rounds here - in spite of the water 😁 Staff very helpful and friendly. Will visit again. Very good value hotel and golf deals.

A nightmare to change ,made a great deal easier by a security guard called I believe Alex,couldn't have been more helpful and pretty much changed the tire for me, I offered him some money for his trouble but he wouldn't take it,well done Alex a credit to wyboston lakes,👍

Very interesting, quiet when I was there but I can imagine on a busier time there will be endless amusement on the water.

Fantastic place to visit for the day. Sat by the lake near the restaurant and had one of the best Beef Burgers I've had in years which was also reasonably priced.

Then took a lookie down at the Aqua Park lake, very funny watching people run the inflatable course.

Definitely worth a visit this summer holiday break.

Good value golf course and hotel

Spa day ,what a lovely relaxing day, facilities lovely and clean, food really nice, staff ,especially Cydnee and Loraine made us feel really welcome and very attentive.
Would definitely recommend, lots of different packages to go for, poolside service was perfect on a day in the sun, thankyou

Following my review above I am delighted to say I have received a great reply from the management at the facility, with full explanations for the issues around the course conditions, and specific responses to the other issues I raised. This really shows that actually they do listen and care about what people think so well done and I really do appreciate your response, and have amended my rating based on that response. Excellent customer service so thanks to the management at the facility for their understanding.

Course was showing signs of poor repair and maintenance, we had people jump in front of us on the 10th (2 different single players), grass cutters wizzing around the greens and the fairways while we were trying to play and not stopping during drives or putts. Some of the T Boxes the grass was so long the ball was still below grass level even with a driver. Disappointing as used to really enjoy playing here. Worst thing was we got back in torrential rain, packed the cars, walked down to the main entrance of the Bar, only to see a sign on an A4 sheet of paper saying no entry and to use the main hotel entrance. Why not put some sort of sign at the entrance to the car park or the walkway down to the door - ridiculous really. Not only that, there was nothing to say which direction we had to go. Gave up in the end and went to have dinner / drinks elsewhere. Overall not a good experience. Complained to the secretary of the golf club who was very good and responded immediately and said she would pass my email on to the facility but heard nothing. Not so sure I will return any time soon which is a shame as our society were looking to have a game there.

Excellent service throughout each stay we have had. Good golfing and a really good spa. Rooms are nice and comfy beds. Highly recommend & I am very much looking forward to my next stay.

I just love this place. Great golf course and really lovely people in the golf shop. Superb golf studio to help with any issues you may have.
Update. Course and greens looking good April 23.

A great all round resort. Great as group or as a couple. Of course you can go on your own too but what's the point eh? There isn't much around it but that's understandable, the site has a golf range, gym, pubs and restaurants, hotel and of course the spa. Beautiful spa facilities with all you need. The rooms aren't boutique, but then again boutique would be pricey which this place isn't.

The only downfall was the cooked breakfast. It seemed all the breakfast things were all over the place and so getting them was a hard slog. The eggs were left to dry out and the bacon was cooked in the oven and so made it hard to chew and cut.
Every other aspect was great. Just requires that little tweak . Well done wyboston lakes.

Ive played here a number of times and I like this course. It is great for a beginner as not too long and it is a nice course to play.

The clubhouse has been redeveloped to an amazing standard. Many years ago I also used to have lessons here and the pro on the course is fantastic.

I would recoomend this club as a nice place for a round of golf and a great place to entertain.
