The post office here is open until quite late so very convenient when you need to post some parcels. The shop is small but stocks all the basics.

Post office and convenience store. Open until 10 every night. An absolute godsend when I needed to get a birthday present posted but could only get off shift in the evening

Never seen a post office like this. Small yet very efficient and helpful staff. Absolutely brilliant location and service!

Although it is a small office the service is amazing. They are so helpful and nice and they are a credit to the community. Big thumbs up from me.

I started use this post office branch one month ago to send my business parcels. Staff is nice and want to be helpful, even are not exactly confident about their RM knowledge. The post office is in a small shop and open late so its possible to leave the parcels after RM collection hours.

Short version: there is quite a high probability that despite going during the opening hours advertised on the official Post Office website, you will be turned away.

Long version: a succession of firms who have operated this post office within their shop consider it acceptable to have periods within the day where they do not staff the Post Office counter. The reasons are varied, but at least part of the problem appears to me to be a staffing issue. In other words, Morrison's would rather economise on the number of staff they put on roster at the expense of providing the service they are contracted to provide. As an example, they are not opening tomorrow (Thursday) morning until 9am because they have a delivery arriving.

Sometimes, the reason that is given is that they have to "cash up", or some other such procedure, where advertising on their website when they are closing during the day would offer would-be criminals a handy indication as to their most opportune moments to strike. This is understandable to an extent, but in running a business here, the Post Office need to account for this in a way that does not inconvenience the customer. If I turn up during opening hours, I expect to be served. Security concerns are the Post Office's problem to deal with. If the problem is pushed onto customers, the reviews will continue to be bad, and I suspect customers will gradually migrate to services they can depend on.

I would guess I have had about a 50 - 70% success rate with this place, in terms of whether I have been served. By all means use it if:
* Your post is not urgent and
* You are not making a long journey to get there and
* You are not going to have to carry your parcel around with you all day in the event that you are turned away.
Otherwise, I would suggest trying another branch if at all possible.

This is a great shame, as if they kept to their opening hours, they would be truly exceptional and very, very handy for those of us who want Post Office services outside of traditional office working hours.

I've been attempting to drop off pre-paid Royal Mail parcels here for the last 12 months. At least twice a week during the post office hours they won't accept my parcels because the post office staff are either 'on their lunch' or doing something else in the back room. The shop staff won't accept the parcels either and are unable to operate the RM till, despite me not needing to pay or get a receipt. I've given up sending parcels from here, buying stamps can be just as difficult. 2 stars given as at least I can buy a pint of milk whilst I wait to be told I can't hand over my pre-paid parcel.

Worst post office, not open during stated hours. They're probably the corner shop staff "manager" scamming loads of cash out of the post office affiliation by claiming to operate within XYZ hours and then not bothering and scamming the money Post Office is paying them right into their their pockets whilst wasting time of customers who get their parcels delivered there their under false pretenses / scam.

Either operate the post office counter properly or inform them that you are unable and you're taking the money illegally.

Been trying to collect a parcel for a week now, I work during the week and everyday they are closed when I go in, apparently they open only 10-2, sent partner in at 12 and they turned her away as shut again! Absolute joke

I would say that 90% of the time I attempt to use the post office counter it is closed. When asked why, they say they are short staffed. It seems to have been this way for years now. Surely the POST OFFICE should be open on the hours publicised. If you can't make it work financially then close but don't pretend to be something you are not

The post office is always closed when i go there. I went at 13:20 today and it was closed for fridges to be delivered. Then at 17:25 and closed for ????? Not reopening til 6pm. Don’t bother unless you’re very local.

Worst post office, not open during stated hours. Apparently, there is only 1 person in the shop, so the post office is closed.

The post office desk opens/closes any time it wishes for breaks/lunch making landing a trip for this service nearly impossible, and isn't open the stated opening times either.

I went to your post office well within your advertised hours of business. I expected to be served and my parcel to be sent as one would from a postal service.

This did not happen as the attendant, who was there, was busy doing something else.

THIS IS NOT ON

I would give zero stars for zero service but this site does not cater for that option.

I just went in at 6.30pm during operational hours, 'position closed' my custom refused ,as they 'had to count up', told i would have to wait 1 HOUR (during advertised opening hours) to have my parcel... which i spent 30 minutes walking their with in my hands, processed. Unacceptable. They should be counting up outside of advertising opening hours, not turning customers away to do it, business 101.
