Best Western George Hotel

Popped in to get some food, and was incredibly surprised how good the quality and presentation was. The staff were accommodating and the outdoor seating was great. Certainly recommend the food.

We just went for food. It was really good service. Food was excellent. Large portions. As always hotel prices for drink are always on the high side. Nothing unusual.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Swaffham. Hosted a two day seminar here and everything asked of the manager (Roxi) was dealt with to a high degree. Food was also excellent. I highly recommend a stay here

Had a roast dinner.
Was just in time before they stopped serving food.
Beef was very tender .food all cooked fresh .service girls very, polite

Location is very good, nice big car park, staff very friendly and food very nice, though only had breakfast. The only small downside is rooms( well certainly ours) dated.

Excellent restaurant with high quality food and service. Relatively small menu but a nice variety and selection of specials.

A traditional style Hotel and Restaurant, but it's in keeping with the building. The staff are fantastic, welcoming and friendly.
They are the best I have come across for meeting any dietary needs, adapting dishes to suit the customers needs!
The food is cooked fresh to order and is delicious.
The bar stocks lots of local ales, which is lovely to see, supporting businesses in Norfolk!
So nice to have a gem of a place not too far from home.
Looking forward to visiting again soon. 🥰

Comfortable clean rooms, handy for a quick stop over. Nice area, pubs within walking distance, big spacious car park suitable for vans.

Bathroom could do with new shower curtains and the shower lead was leaking.

Will be back if working In the area.

We visited the George Hotel in Swaffham last Saturday while cycling the Rebellion Way. Excellent hotel in all respects. The staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to store our bikes overnight in a secure place. Nice room with a good shower. Excellent dinner and breakfast from 07:30. Large car park. Highly recommended.

We had a great meal last night as our Christmas night out. I think the kitchen and service staff did a great job, 34 people and the food tasted lovely & all arrived within minutes so we all ate together. Very reasonably priced for a Christmas meal 😃

We didn't stay at the hotel but booked in for the carvery. No word of a lie, the beef was one of the best I'd tasted and the staff were marvelous. We'll definitely be doing this again in the near future and I must find out who supplies the meat.

I can happily recommend the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good and great value. We slept like logs as the beds were very comfortable.
Swaffham is lovely and is a great base for touring the area.

A quaint little hotel in the heart of a beautiful historic market town.
Rooms, although some dated, are of a very decent size with good facilities. The hotel has its own spacious car park which is free to guests and free WiFi too. Don't leave in the morning without staying for an amazing breakfast !

This may be considered only a 3 star hotel but this is most definitely 5 star service. Never have I met hotel staff that are so friendly and cheerful. I am staying here for business and am required to quarantine because of the countries requirement to do so. When I booked I explained this to the staff and they were more than happy to accommodate. They were kind enough to save me a room that has a lovely street view so I wasn't stuck staring at the parking lot. They stocked the room with extra tea, coffee, sugar, creamers, towels, soap, shampoo, and toilet paper. They even gave me extra biscuits for my tea. They have a a wonderful selection of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All I have to do is call down and place my order and they bring it promptly. They even provided a small table outside the door to leave the service tray on. The food is delicious and fairly priced for the portion sizes. I am not left hungry that's for sure. The rooms are quaint and quiet. The layout of the hotel doesn't allow for the ability to have children run up and down the halls. There is no door slamming throughout the night to keep you awake. The traffic is slow and tappers off to almost nothing at night. The windows can be opened to let in the cool morning air and the bed is soft and warm. The bathroom has both a shower and a large bathtub and the room has a small desk to work at and plenty of room in a small armoire for clothes. Even though I am stuck in this room for quarantine, it is a wonderful place to be stuck. If I ever come back, I know where to stay.

Stayed for 2 nights here and is a great location,rooms are nice and beds are comfortable,the food and service is amazing and looking forward to staying there again

Everyone pleasant and helpful. The food and service is very good and priced middle to high according to the dishes bought, something for everyone, choose according to your likes and purse. Swaffham a lovely little town and gateway to Norfolk, well worth a visit.. thank you for a delightful 6 day holiday

I would like to thank all the staff at the George, that's front of house & behind the scene for a warm welcome. My evening meals were amazing, I have eaten at some high end places and the food here I could not fault. I would like to to say a great big thank you to Graham for his hospitality. His good self and the others work like trojan horses to keep customers satisfied, like myself.
The ones that are not happy with the service should, put themselves into their shoes.
