Mother Hubbards

A chippy has always been my favourite takeaway, but since going gluten free, trying to find one that accommodates my dietary requirements is always tricky and even then it never normally hits the spot, but I had fish, chips with peas from here, all gluten free and it was perfect. Decent portion, lovely fish, Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent. Gluten free cod and chips,delivered. So tasty,fresh and a beautiful piece of fish. Cooked to perfection.Delivered within 30 mins. Husband had rock. He enjoyed his as well. Perfect. Thank you.

Possibly a little expensive, but the fish is always cooked to perfection. Unlike Mr chips where I was using before where the fish was only good for a new insoles for my shoe on the last 2 occasions (my dog wouldn't even eat it and she loves fish).

Just been in your fish n chip shop! Brilliant service...and the best fish n chips ! And a lovely cup of tea! Definitely recommend to anyone!

Been coming for years for superb fish and chips - the batter is light and crispy, the cod steamed inside to perfection. Very friendly service too.

My wife and I moved to the area 3 years ago and the best discovery we have made during that time is Mother Hubbards Fish & chips. Previously we would occasionally, on a convenience basis, take home Fish & chips. Since discovering Mother Hubbards, Friday evening has become a ritual, which we look to above any other meal of the week (otherwise we cook dinner ourselves every evening). Sounds an exaggeration, well we can hardly believe it ourselves. "Please keep up the excellent service".

Passing through and seen the good reviews so decided to stop. Very nice chippy with friendly staff, got served quick and had a gorgeous jumbo sausage and chips. Also ordered a pickled egg and they said I've given you two as they're small... Brilliant service and I'm not over these ways very often but when I am next I'm 100% coming back.

We three ate in the shop at 6pm. Batter on cod was lovely and crispy; not swimming in oil. Chips had been freshly cooked. Fab meals and good value for money.
We're definitely coming back!

We often stop off here when travelling back to North Norfolk if we are hungry. The quality of the food here is excellent and the portions are generous. Great value for money too!

Be honest with you, we stopped on the way back from Norwich airport for fish and chips.

And I’ve got to say the fish and chips were amazing. Also the staff were very friendly would definitely recommend. 🙏

This place is unreal. It's nice some of the best fish and chips I've had. Also, they do a chip bowl, very friendly and doesn't take long if you want a bag ask for it or you won't get one but no hardship walking to the car with the wrapped up goodness.

Amazing gluten free fish and chips tonight. Great find and will be back more often how we have found you. Turned up ordered as a take out . Waited no longer than anyone else would have had to. All piping hot and the batter was so crispy.

The fish and chips from here are amazing. Whenever we go to Swaffham, we call in here to buy lunch 😋

Lovely freshly fried food. Staff are very pleasant and cheerful. Batter is the best around. As with most chippys the portions are too large. I ask for half a portion of chips. Lovely little town with a great variety of shops. Nice afternoon out.

Order some food and it came nice and hot and super fast delivery. The lady delivery driver was very friendly.

Great fish and chips, awesome meal. I always ask for scraps, however recently, they have been a highly requested add on, so I keep missing out. Lol.
I find the portion sizes just right, I always eat every last chip, so I'm either greedy or I need a few more chips. Haha.
Unfortunately the prices have taken a significant increase recently, but, I'm still visiting every week, sometimes even more...
5 star's for the food and service.
I'd suggest you try the homemade sauces, especially the Tartar sauce.

Very nice food. I went in at a busy time and they forgot to put my onion rings on, not a massive issue, just had to wait a little bit longer. As an apology they give me extra onion rings and fish which was really nice of them. Definitely recommend.

Been here more than once and they have not yet disappointed me one bit. Always flavorful and crispy chips and their fish is always nice and fresh, the batter is also very nice unlike most chip shops where they don't season their batter. Without a doubt one of the best if not the best fish & chip shop around.

It's the best fish n chips that I've had in the local area. Freshly prepared. The haddock was great. Kids love the cod. Friendly staff. Don't really have any negatives from any of my times eating there.
