A quite outstanding breakfast - quality, presentation and portion size. Lovely sourdough toast, wrapped good quality butter, fantastic sausages and crispy bacon. All ingredients top notch and charming waiting staff. Memorable.

Loved everything about this bakery. So glad we stopped on our way back from Latitude festival.

The produce, the display, the selection, the customer service. All amazing! Wish I lived nearer.

We ordered salmon and cream cheese bagels, Portuguese custard tarts, a cheese and marmite twirl and a cinnamon twirl. And a signature sourdough. And hot drinks too.

I am a baker so can appreciate the work that must go into this wonderful business.

Passing by on the way to the coast and stopped off at the bakery. Hearing lots of good things, this place did not disappoint.
We had a sausage roll which was great, cheese and marmite swirl pastry which was my favourite and a elderflower doughnut also delicious.

I drive 30 miles to visit this bakery (although there is 1 nearer to me). The staff are so friendly the service is quick and the cafe is bright and very clean. The bread, cakes and savoury items on display are very enticing. It might be a little pricey but it is well worth it. The only negative point is the indoor seating area is not large enough, although that won't put me off visiting.

We were visiting the area over New year and stayed local to the bakery, every time we passed it was very busy. On our last day we went in for breakfast. After seeing a few comments about value for money I was a bit sceptical. All I will say is the full English is very good value for money, great quality food on it so for £12 I think you get a lot for your money. Purchased a few bakery products on the way out too. A really lovely and high quality bakery. Staff were all very helpful and would definitely recommend a visit. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus! 🙌

Neat and tidy environment with a fantastic display of cakes, pastries and breads. Everything I tried tasted amazing and fresh including a great cup of coffee. Atmosphere is warm and friendly with with helpful staff always willing to assist. I would recommend a detour to this place even if you are 40 miles away as you will leave with a smile on your face.

Stopped in during work. The cakes and pastries looked amazing. Plummed for a neapolitan croissant. Was excellent. Coffee was nice. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing

Congratulations on being my first 5-star review.
This was a wonderful place to visit, and I wish I lived nearer so I could visit again. The bakery makes an impression the moment you walk through the door, and that positive vibe doesn't drop for the duration of your visit. The food is as good as it looks; the coffee is very well made, and the teapots are very well designed too, and yes, it is tealeaf tea that is served here.
However, what really left a lasting impression was the staff. Hats off to the ladies and gents working that day, your friendliness and service was really appreciated.

We had a drink of tea and a latte. One lovely member of staff who topped up the new style teapot, and one member of staff who worried whether my order of extra hot was sufficiently hot. Well done when you're so busy and thoughtful enough to notice the small things which makes a visit so much more enjoyable.

Beautiful food & service. Friendly, happy staff! Some of the customers were a bit grumpy but just think they were prejudiced to northeners. Nothing against the place!

Lovely food, dog friendly cafe, called in on way to Colchester, just wanted a light lunch, had a sausage roll each, very tasty, I also had the apple cake which was so light and delicious, hubby had carrot cake, was a bit too sweet for his taste but good generous slices of cake.

Lovely bakery and cafe. Was a queue out the door, which is generally good sign. Dog friendly. 3 vegan cakes on offer and morrocan roll was very tasty. Had Portuguese custard tarts that my Dad would love. Choice of alternative milks on offer. Friendly staff. Will pop back again.
