I have visited this establishment on numerous occasions, introducing more friends and family each time. The premises is clean and well presented. The staff are welcoming and genuinely happy to see you, remembering you from previous visits and taking time to interact with you. The food and drink are of excellent quality, served hot, with just the right wait time, understanding the food is freshly prepared. My grandson loved his food, wandered through the bar and was excited to visit the gardens, with children’s toys. Another great dining experience, thanks, thoroughly recommended!

Driving out from Southwold we wanted to find a pub where we could eat and relax, well we found this place driving back up the A12 and well we found exactly what we wanted.
Lovely pub and restaurant, service was great from the moment we walked into The Plough. Food was absolutely spot on you could tell each dish was freshly made to order. Great prices too £40 for 2 of us with drinks. Highly recommend the plough.

Stopped off on the way back to Leiston after a coastal walk. Glad we did as lovely and cosy inside. Freshly done up. Chatted with the manager/landlord for a little while, they had just taken over the place and only opened on Tuesday.
Beautifully homemade food (I had fish and chips, my partner had a burger). My partner said it was one of the best burgers he’d had in a while, tasted like beef rather than nothing! Fish and chips was huge, very feeling. It cost us £55 for a starter to share (Camembert), mains, two pints of beer and two cokes.
Don’t read the other reviews as it’s been closed since the summer (check their Facebook!). We will definitely be back!

Good choice of meals on the menu at reasonable prices. Our meals arrived quickly and well cooked. Local beers and ciders available. Excellent service by friendly staff. A great find in a good location and very happy dog friendly. It was lovely to be welcomed in to such a friendly and accommodating pub. Thank you.

We had a two night break at The Plough Inn with our dog. We received a very friendly reception and shown to our room by Wendy. The room was a very good size plenty of room for our dog. If I was being very critical I would say that the furnishings looked a bit tired. Good size bathroom with large separate shower cubicle. We ate in the restaurant both evenings. Again very good service and good value. Breakfasts, cooked by Wendy (she is obviously a master of all trades even managing to serve an excellent Irish Coffee) were of a high standard, freshly cooked tasty breakfast. As The Plough is situated on the A12 there is obviously some traffic noise but did not disturb our sleep. Look forward to returning, excellent value

Over 20 of us went for a works night out. The service was outstanding, the staff were amazing, & the food was fantastic & all came out at the same time. I'm looking forward to returning soon with friends. The pub is welcoming & has lots of seating be it for a crowd or a cosy date night. Easy to get to as it's set back on the A12 with lots of parking.

We had a very pleasant 3 night stay. The room was spacious, the bed very comfy. Breakfast was good and the staff are all very lovely. It is on the side of the A12 but our room was at the back and the road noise was not really a problem.

Had to decamp from the 5 Bells for our breakfast & wasn't disappointed. Lovely staff and a tour of the huge very comfortable rooms including a family room. Would recommend based upon a very brief encounter with the place and the manager. Location is very accessible in it's own layby on the A12 a couple of miles from Wrentham.

First time I have been there. I was really impressed. The staff very friendly and welcoming. Very accommodating too. The menu, not huge but I prefer that, was varied. Food itself was excellent. Good sized portions, plenty of meat and best of all HOT!!!!! It was altogether really good. There was eight of us and not one complaint.
Then when the bill came up, even more pleasing. Extremely reasonable. I shall definitely return.

It was fairly quiet and close to end of ordering time for food, but the staff were very pleasant and our waitress was very nice and accommodating. The menu was varied and unpretentious. I asked about a couple of items on the menu and the waitress responded positively. We eventually ordered our meal, as we were busy catching up with other family members! I had 'a smaller appetite' chicken goujons with a fried chicken style coating, which was very nice, with thick cut chips and peas, my husband had a Cider Pork and Leek Pie, again with chips and peas, which he thoroughly enjoyed, even to the point of scraping the pastry from around the edge of the dish! The other family members had a HUGE burger with chips etc and Chilli con carne with rice and salad, which they both enjoyed very much. The service was quick and we never felt rushed at all. We shall return soon as we enjoyed the food and ambience of The Plough very much!

Went to the restaurant for food a couple of times on our long weekend away and both times the service and food were excellent.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, They managed to squeeze us in on a busy night and we booked in when we went back a couple of nights later.

Next time we are back in the area we will be going back.

Great service all staff went out out of there way to make sure everything was 110% to our satisfaction.

Over night stay. Fabulous beautiful tranquil location. Restaurant food was lovely. Husband who's fussy enjoyed the soup of the day which was i believe cauliflower with truffle. Mine was the goats cheese with beetroot. Sublime!
Followed by fish n chips, the duck dish. Beautifully presented. Room is very spacious and clean. The bath and double shower amazing. Very good price.
