Amazing estate and you can have a great day out and just pay for parking if you want. Great walking trails, a huge play area, food, drink, shop, mini-golf, gin bar and ice cream - what more could you want! We didn't go into the house or gardens but there's still plenty to do to keep the kids entertained and it's great for a picnic on a summer's day.

House & gardens were closed so we walked around the parklands & arboretum - enjoying the green & some 'forest bathing' . Parking £9 but entry free. Refreshments & WC available. We also enjoyed an interesting visit to the local parish church on the estate, used by the royals when they are in residence.

Day visit to the King's House! A beautiful family home in fabulous grounds yet feels quite intimate. Staff were a delight and welcoming. Restaurant good food at reasonable prices. It feels like a house that's used and lived in compared to some of the National Trust grand houses that are really museums.
Will go back.

Absolutely fantastic place for all. Great for little ones with a play park and crazy golf. Great if you have dogs plenty if room and the restaurant is dog friendly too. You can look around the house and gardens for a charge. Or just take a picnic and relax. Go early and you may spot some wildlife including deer. Way marked trails for cycling and walking.
Great facilities for disabled visitors with a changing places facilities

The house is lovely to walk around, and the gardens and grounds are so beautiful. We enjoyed afternoon tea in the Sandringham restaurant. Brilliant service and all freshly prepared. One of the best afternoon teas we have had.

Brilliant place. Lovely for a long and adventurous walk through the woods and the house and gardens are lovely too (you have to pay to access the house and gardens although children up to 17 are free!). Cafe is very nice as well and there is a lovely gift shop. Well worth a visit.

Amazing gardens, ability to just roam!
Surprised to find out there are only 14 estate staff to manage such a large land space.

Beautiful grounds, very well maintained and a pleasure to drive through. The car parking is reasonable and some areas are free to walk around. The cafe and shop area is kept clean and is a nice pit stop.

Had a day here looking in the house and around the grounds.. Staff were very informative and it was surreal walking round the rooms knowing the king actually was using all the stuff you see just 3 weeks earlier. This is one of their residences so to see how they lived was quite amazing. The grounds are stunning as well.

Lovely walk for a hot day. Dogs loved the cool shady paths which were well signposted through the trees. Went back to the cafe and had a yummy ice-cream and then bought a few bits in the well stocked gift shop. We saved the house and garden visit for another day minus the dogs. For a 2 hour stay it was £5.00 to park which you pay when you leave, they have number plate recognition.

Great day out at Sandringham. The house tour was very well organised and using the headphones and guide made life really ready and it made sure you didn't miss anything. The additional staff inside the house during the tour was also useful for answering questions. Used the restaurant for refreshments all though a little slow, food was nice. Would certainly visit again.

Amazing park! We drove from Bury and spent over 4 hours there. The park is HUGE and my kids had a blast. Just some notes: there is a cafe, restaurant, ice cream shop, and a store, there are plenty of picnic tables by the cafe area. Facilities are very clean. There is seating withing the play area for parents, but no dogs allowed in the playground, so I found a spot in the giant field just outside of the play area. Next time I will definitely bring a blanket or some folding chairs. There were also trails, but we did not partake this time.

A lot of thought has been put into making the estate great for visitors along with being ecologically.
The estate is dog friendly with water points and bowls all over along with poopy bins (that could be marked on map)
Dogs not allowed in gardens and house so one of us took dog around parkland, then after lunch, swapped over.
The coffee was ‘really’ good!
We had straight forward sandwiches and crisps for lunch.
The house was as lovely, I can hear the late Queen saying ‘the music end’ and the ‘his and her’ pictures in the gun corridor were lovely.
Wasn’t impressed with the clothing in the ballroom tbh!
Got lost in the gardens!
Loved the rose garden in the formal bed.
The vehicle museum was quiet but it was late afternoon before I got to it.
All day parking was £10

Lovely place to visit. Even if you only go for the park/walk, spent a lovely day here. Plenty of places to enjoy a picnic and there are lots of space to walk dogs - not in the estate itself though. Will be going back for a longer walk and stay a bit longer in the park

Perhaps the most family feeling of all the Royal Palaces. It is still used by the Family on a regular basis particularly at Christmas. The gardens and grounds are beautiful. A must visit if in the area.

Great pop up crazy golf course for the summer. Good price with some challenging holes. Course in very good condition and well organised.

The playground for kids is free entrance and you can go for picnic which they have a tent and wooden table with benches. The walk on the estate is free, except if you chose to go inside the garden which is £15 + the house = £25. If you book online is a £1 discount.

Receipt attach in my photo. Overall experience is good place to visit.

I visited this place after 6 years and found it a bit weary. The palace has lost its charm due to the addition of the gardens in front of the palace. That grandeur look of the palace, which stood at the edge of the lush green grasses grounds is being missed now.
I remember seeing the exhibition 6 years back, with a range of colourful pheasants displayed behind the glasses display panels.

A thoroughly enjoyable visit. The grounds were beautiful and very peaceful, and tranquil to walk around. We were really pleased to have visited the house, with friendly and informative staff on hand in each room to give explanations to their contents, however it sadly is only a few rooms, and left me wanting to see more. On exiting, there are more displays at The Stables, where you can also get a quick bite to eat and drink before ambling around the extensive grounds. We finished our visit off with a delightful cream tea in the restaurant and a look around the gift shop, which had a number of reasonably priced items that we could purchase for ourselves and family members. It's definitely worth a visit, and it's really good value for money.

The house was closed until Easter but the forest walks are wonderful and full of wildlife. We walked from the Caravan and Motorhome site so no problem parking. Lots of car parks throughout the estate
