Bircham Stores and Cafe

We turned up at the store midway through a long cycle ride hoping for a quick bite to eat and were not disappointed! Cafe was closed but the store has a selection of pastries and cakes, as well as lots of other food items, all of which seemed excellent quality and the owner Mark was so lovely and friendly. We had a sausage roll and a quiche with some salad, and everything was outstanding. Highly recommend this place!

We popped in to grab a few bits with the family. They have a good selection of cakes, pastries and deli goods and you can also sit in for a coffee too. Everything we had was delicious the owner was really kind to our children and made their day! Thank you for your kindness

Dropped in by chance and were treated to an absolutely fantastic breakfast. Brilliant friendly service and could not fault the food in any way. Really good menu as well had stuff like pancakes with maple syrup and kedgeree to choose from. My wife had the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. A real find will definitely be coming back.

Stopped here for a coffee break whilst travelling to the coast. Impressed with the friendly staff and excellent coffee.
Took a still warm homemade sausage roll away with me and ate it later. The roll was very tasty indeed. Well worth a visit

Called in to buy some vinegar as my new windscreen was very greasy and in the rain with headlights coming towards us it was very difficult to see. Spoke to the owner who was so helpful giving me some degreaser from the kitchen and paper roll. Very refreshing to get such friendly service way beyond your expectations. The Nar Valley Honey is FAB!

This place is a little gem situated in a typically quaint Norfolk village. Lovely setting with various seating options. It’s a bold statement but the salt beef ciabatta I had was the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten!! Also, excellent service from the girl who took our order. Highly recommended.

Best breakfast we have had in a long long time. Staff always really friendly and happy. Value for money 10 out of 10. Deli has the best home cooked food, love it. Well done crew. 👍👍😊😊.

What a great place to either pick up something tasty or sit in!!! Highly recommend the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely pop in next time I’m off to the north Norfolk coast!!

Best coronation chicken sandwich I've ever had!

What a wonderful cafe, from our welcome to our departure. We had an excellent selection of meals and sandwiches and drinks to choose from, all produced and served with loving care even though we arrived rather late in the day.
The ambiance was excellent, with interesting art on the walls and it would be a lovely place to sit outside on a warmer day.
We bought some delights in the deli too so, call in if you are passing or just go there!

I rarely write online reviews, but we were so blown away by the quality of food and service here that we had to make the time. We stayed at a nearby cottage (Cherry Ridge) for a week and walked to Bircham Stores almost every morning for a coffee. One day we had lunch and had what had to be one of the most delicious beef salads we have ever had--the ingredients simply tasted so fresh and flavorsome. It was my wife's birthday and so Mark, the owner, kindly has his pastry chef Mary bake us a gluten-free chocolate cake--this was, objectively, to die for. If you pass through Great Bircham and do not stop here, you are missing something special.

One of the best Bacon Sandwick & Cup of Tea I have had. When we turned up the cafe part of the deli was closes due to staff shortages, however the owner was great and made us a special Ciabatta Bacon Sandwick. Great Deli

In 58 years on this planet the best ever brunch I have had, Flavours and service worthy of accolades.

Mark the owner is a vibrant and wonderful character who clearly has built a strong team around him. Everyone on top of their game and so welcoming.

Mary the chef deserves the highest of praise. With pasties and food this good she needs her own TV programme to share some of her secrets.

Great store with wide range of interesting foods, fresh in deli as well as dry goods and lovely selection of reasonably priced wines. Attached Cafe great on all counts - v good coffee, wonderful breakfasts and generous homemade lunches. We are very dependent on it and count ourselves
lucky Lynn and Mark have stamina and enthusiasm needed to reach such high standards consistently.

Although we are not new to the area we have only just moved into the village itself. Ive been dying to try out the food here but our first visit today was simply for groceries. Upon seeing there scrumptious counter selection i couldn't help but order most of it. Imagine my horry with a que full of people to realise that i had forgotten my bank card and had little cash on me. To make matters worse my 3 times disabled child then kicked the counter. I was mortified.
And yet the gentleman behind the counter was amazing. He didn't even look twice at my sons appalling behaviour but also gave us more produce than i had the cash for.
Yes the food is amazing and i cant recommend it enough but that level of service is second to none. Personally that means more to me than the high level of food they do offer.
