Came here for first time I really enjoyed it food was amazing too.

First time I had been for a while and I was not disappointed. That is probably the best burger I have ever had, the staff were lovely and really friendly. Even to an awkward customer like me. Will definitely be back

Had a buffet here in the function room following my Grandma's funeral.

The staff were friendly and polite, checking with us when we wanted the food serving and then bringing it all out quickly and setting it all up on the serving table.

The food was all good quality and seemed fresh and hot. A far cry from the standard lukewarm sausage rolls and quiche I was expecting.

The experience helped to make a tough day a lot more bearable for the family.

Unplanned little lunch out and absolutely cannot complain. The service was brilliant, guy on the bar (I now know his name is Dan) was very polite and helpful. The chef today was Toby and the food was delicious. I had the cluckin hot stack burger and it was juicy and full of flavour. Plenty of sauce and toppings. My husband had a mixed grill and asked for his steak to be medium rare. When we go to a pub that is a great value pub we usually don’t expect a steak that is cooked to our liking and we just eat it anyway however this steak today was done to perfection! My husband hates mushrooms and forgot to ask for them not to be put on his meal but this was to my advantage as I scoffed them and they were yum!! Well done chef!

Food was lovely, priced well. Service was great, the guy behind the bar and the waitress were both friendly. Would certainly come again.

Stumbled across this family pub in stockton,dog friendly,muddy boot friendly,called in for food and a pint. I had the boss burger,wife had fish n chips,the bairn had chicken nuggets and the party ring sundae. Clear plates were left,the food was fantastic,great atmosphere and friendly people and staff..we will be back,great place👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Went in for the 2 for £12 meals, expected frozen fish but got actual fresh fish in proper batter and good chips. Was very surprised. Staff were lovely too

A great Sunday well spent. First we had carvery. Service at the bar was easy. We opened a tab. Carvery was tender and succulent. Service from Dan was great. Welcoming and friendly. We then went into the Fuzzy Ed’s play area. A vast improvement has been made since we last visited. Atmosphere was great. Thanks for a lovely experience

Although the food could have been hotter, it was nicely cooked and plentiful. We were very pleasantly surprised at the large portion on meat provided. Most carveries tend to be very mean with their meat portions.

We were visiting friends and stopped by for lunch, both myself and my wife ordered the carvery, being the first time we had ate in the Horse and Jockey I wasn't to sure if it could live up to my expectations of a proper roast carvery, well it did and then some... Huge thank you for a tasty yet affordable afternoon carvery. Definitely recommend.

Foods always amazing when we come nice fast service and staff are always lovely. Really recommend if your looking for some nice grub or a place to have a pint.

The food was amazing and they amazing looking play area which we weren't able to use as we were in a rush but we will be going back for the kids to give that a thorough testing

We go most sundays for carvery and often in the soft play. Staff are lovely too

Fantastic staff couldn't do enough for my kids and myself, the food was spot on kids loved it and my mixed grill was literally cooked to perfection so hats off to the chef will definitely be coming back 👌😁

Tia was amazing serving and very polite. Also she had a few people waiting, she apologised to the customers waiting, but I still did not feel I had to rush. Excellent service

Me and my partner came for a nice little date for some food and a little drink, and everything was impeccable, I tried to give a tip however I wasn’t able to, our server Katie was amazing and very lovely, we’ll definitely come again! 😊

Dan served us at at the bar. He was very polite and very helpful very happy with the service he provided. Also daz was very helpful asked us if the food was ok he was very polite and made us feel welcome. Well done ❤ very good customer service skills

Came in for a few a few pints manger at the time was Dan great hospitality and service couldn’t fault a thing, ordered giant giros and it was delicious, definitely recommend this I will be coming again.

Had such a lovely experience here! Come in for dinner with a few friends and it has such a great atmosphere! We had the most friendly waitress I think her name was hannah! She went above and beyond to make us have the best time whilst there! She was bubbly and smiley! We definitely will be returning!
