Lazeez Falafel Salad Bar

Wonderful food.. I got the falafel wrap & it is just so so delicious every single time. Lazeez never fails to deliver, & never fails to make me full - such great value for money :) The service was absolutely amazing I love the owners so much, they are such kind, generous & genuine people with a talent for cooking! One must always support a local business that will love you back ☺ Always lovely to chat with the owners too ~

I think I’ll have the vine leaves or a wrap with hummus next time :) looking forward to it!

The best lunch spot in Durham! I had the falafel wrap and juice deal – both incredible and great value for money. Without a doubt the best falafel I have ever had (and I've had lots as a vegan!) – crunchy on the outside and creamy in the middle. The juice was made right in front of me as were the falafels. All so fresh and delicious – and a wonderful chat whilst waiting too.

So this week I walked past Lazeez Falafel Salad Bar to see it was finally open. I'd been looking forward to the opening of this new arrival to Durham. As I looked in the window at the menu Rash offered a free sample of Falafel. Now I eat Falafel every week so trying this was trying nothing new, but during our long conversation together I asked what vine leaves were and Rash was very happy to tell me about how and where they grow. Intrigued, Rash offered me one for free! This was a lovely gesture to which I was very grateful. We chatted some more, untill I finally left, but not for long! I got around the corner and turned back into the shop. Rash had been so welcoming, friendly, kind and well-mannered. His hospitality was impeccable. I really enjoyed the friendly chat so thought I'd grab myself some tea instead of cooking at home. I ordered a Falafel wrap with halloumi,and salad. Rash's colleague started to cook the Falafel and halloumi, once cooked made up my wrap. What caught my eye was the attention he put into making this wrap! The respect he had for the food, he didn't just chuck the food in the wrap like most places do. He spent time and care into making it. Asked me what I wanted in it as he went along. Taking care as he did. Almost like he was blessing the food as he went. The flatbread itself looked warm, soft and fluffy. Anyway, he wrapped it in tinfoil and paper, not a polystyrene carton in site, thankfully! I wished them good luck, told them I'd soon be back again and went home.
Tbh I could've stayed longer. The atmosphere in here is calm, and calming.
I opened my beautifully made wrap and tucked in. And oh my it was delicious. Fresh, tasty, full of flavour and filling. For 7.00 it was amazing. It may seem expensive but for what you receive in food quality and customer service its worth every penny.
I really pray this lil place stays open and isn't crippled by Durhams high rental prices.
Oh and another thing, he's open till club and pub closing times, just what some of us need after a night out, and who doesn't want a greasy kebab and the trots the next day! This is the place to be. Congratulations Rash and your colleague, may you have many happy years in Durham. I shall pop in sometime next week, Monday no doubt. See you soon and keep doing what your doing x

Genuinely really really good. A friend recommended it and I was not disappointed :)
I had a falafel wrap and mango juice for £8.95.
Great options if you are vegetarian/don't like spicy food, too.
Both servers were very friendly and accommodating.

We wandered past and were given a free sample, which was so tasty we went in to get lunch. Two falafel meals with a side of potatoes easily fed four of us, and were sat outside in the sun sharing. They were very generous with the different salads and veg, especially when we said we hadn’t tasted them before. Definitely recommend!

Stumbled upon this place with my fiancé last year after looking for some lunch.
Now every time we visit Durham we drop in for a bite.
The service is always warm and welcoming with a friendly chat while you wait.
Falafel wraps are great washed down with some tasty juices that are also super healthy

Lazeez is the the best place to get lunch in Durham. The portions are massive, and all the food is fresh and healthy. I've tried everything on the menu and I wish I could pick a favorite but it's all incredible. Highly recommend!!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Great value for money, amazing food, incredible service, the guys there are so nice. I had the falafel wrap meal and the portion size is so generous!

Been going here for quite a while. Me and my friends go and the 5 star rating does not do the place justice. Not only is the food an 11 out of ten, but the service is even better. If your popping to Durham for a snack, I would absolutely recommend the place.

Staff was very friendly and food was tasty with great portion.
I could choose what I want to put on in warp. I highly recommend falafels with garlic sauce and spicy hummus to try! I will definitely come back !

Stopped on q bit bike ride, we're greeted very warmly and had a great chat with the owner who was very friendly. Food was absolutely superb and had loads of vegan options. Would really recommend 👌

Best veggie food in durham imho, Palestinian flag, dude making the food is cool, it’s like 5 minute walk from the bus station, only 6 pounds for a massive falafel wrap? In this economy? I have 0 complaints 11/10 I would marry the owner of the shop if I could.

THEE best falafel you will ever have. Everything is so fresh, and staff so so friendly and happy. But the food is actually amazing, you can tell that it’s made from the heart and fresh every day. Couldn’t recommended this place enough, and it’s a local business which is great to see thrive in Durham! Everything made to order and portions are huge & absolutely delicious!

We had a large party that included children and the owner and other worker made sure every order was perfect. They were very accommodating for our need for extra seating. The food was fresh and tasty. Delicious falafel!!! Everyone was so friendly and upbeat. My only regret is that I live across the ocean and won’t be back for more of this delicious fare soon. Eat here!
