Generations Cafe Bar

Really great cafe, it has a very interesting interior, which makes you feel like it's somewhere special. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. They have a full range of a cafe style menu, just presented in a way that's slightly nicer than a lot of places.

Great menu, friendly place, would gladly visit again. My wife liked the fries.

Great busy little place. Friendly staff, took order quickly and it all came super quickly. Coffee was very good. Family with me equally enjoyed theirs. Had an Oreo tiffin which was delightful! Shame I live 300 miles away otherwise would make it a regular stop for sure!!

Popped in for breakfast this morning and experienced what is probably the best cup of coffee I've had in a cafe this year. It was made even better by the discovery of the breakfast (Mc) Muffin with hash browns. All this with efficient staff and great atmosphere, perfect & highly recommended!

Stopped here for lunch because I fancied trying somewhere different. Do glad I did. The club Sandwich was fantastic. Best I've had in a long time. Staff were friendly and efficient and food didn't take too long to appear. Next time I'm in the area I'll definitely be stopping back in. Can be very busy at peak times.

Great menu choice for vegans and great range of hot drinks! Anywhere selling chai latte with non dairy milk gets my vote! Great selection of cakes too! Perfect spot for post parkrun brunch!

Fabulous 👍. Called In after a long bike journey up the Trans Pennine Trail with my wife. We are both Vegans, I had the Vegan sausage sandwich, which is to die for. Beautiful atmosphere, was very busy when we called and buzzing. One thing to say, the background music needs to be more chilled and slightly louder (I would recommend a little modern jazz for such a brilliant place) 😊👍

Excellent little cafe/bar, plenty of room inside. Very nice food, with some lovely cakes on offer.

This week my partner and I visited for breakfast and I had the best eggs benedict I've ever tasted! Absolutely perfect, amazing coffee and the usual fab friendly service. Generations maintaining its position as best spot in Penistone!!!

Been here 3 times now. Always friendly, accommodating service. Fresh coffee and very tasty cake. They have an excellent menu but I haven't had the opportunity to investigate that yet. It's a must visit venue, whenever we're in Penistone.

Went here after going to langsett. Was not dissapointed.
The young lady who was serving us was brilliant.
I had a bbq burger think it has to be the best burger ive ever had.
I did indulge in a hot chocolate aswel that was very nice.
My partner had hot roast sandwitch and that looked amazing.

Love this place. We come here regularly for a cooked English breakfast, really good quality ingredients and great portions. A relaxed atmosphere and the coffee, desert and tray bake selection never fails!

Good measures in place for social distancing take aways. Too many nice looking cakes I HAD to buy 4! Not eaten them yet so can't review xx

My wife works round the corner so when I pop up to Penistone to see her, we always go into Generation Cafe Bar for either lunch or just for a coffee.

We've never experienced any issues and the customer service is always great.

The menu is really good and offers healthy options.

Lovely clean and smart premises, coffee and food lovely. Staff very nice. Cakes look amazing but I was full after my toastie and chips. Recommended.

Always have a lovely lunch or drink and a cake. Food is good, atmosphere is great and the staff are really polite, friendly and helpful.
