Fish and chips was delicious. Crispy and creamy. Tartare sauce is homemade and is pretty amazing.
Homemade cakes as well.
Coffee and teas.

Fantastic fish & chips - even though we walked these home for 20 minutes, they were still hot & the batter, miraculously was still crispy! Fresh fish & really god chips - so glad to have this quality so near to where we live!

First time I had breakfast at a fish restaurant. They had nice strong coffee and a full Scottish breakfast. Would eat again.

We enjoyed freshly cooked very fresh fish and chips from the Cottage Cafe.

We thought the cost was entirely reasonable for an island setting.

Our recommendation is to take an insulated bag with you for the food, not forgetting the complimentary condiments at the till and take the short walk to the seats in the harbour and enjoy the food al fresco, always the best way to enjoy fish and chips.

It is located in a beautiful area and it is ideal if you are visiting the distilleries near Port Ellen. The food, particularly fish, seafood and daily specials, is delicious, and the toilets are clean and new! The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely eat here again!
