Aperitif restaurant

Service fast, the ravioli stuffed with crab meat and creamy prawn sauce was amazing!! My wife's chicken was a bit bland. Atmosphere lively just feel everyone is crammed in a little.

3rd year back in Sunderland and 3rd year back to aperitif. Food always fantastic. Staff are brilliant. Thanks to Lucy for making the "Flaming Zombies" cocktails they were amazing. Great value for money too. Looking forward to seeing you all next time.

My absolute favourite place while I stayed in Sunderland. Service was top notch very friendly and fun, the food was fantastic, tasty hot and came out fast. The cocktails are amazing. I would definitely recommend here for food but would book as it was always busy the two times I went. Brilliant place!.

Very friendly restaurant with great music and a fun vibe. It always feels like there’s a party about to kick off. The food is also really good!

My husband took me here last night for my birthday and all I can say is wow. David our host was absolutely brilliant, very friendly, fun and polite, all the service staff were brilliant. The venue is very clean, fun, lively ans was full with customers. The food was outstanding my husband went and personally thanked the kitchen staff for their incredible talents and they were over the moon with the acknowledgement. After our meal David brought us a night cap with special bubbles then played me a song and a slice of cake for my birthday which was a lovely gesture. We can't wait to return back in March. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

Wow a great little find and right next to Sunderland Empire theatre. The food we had was tasty fresh and plentyful. Great value for money the staff are fabulous so helpful they make you feel so welcome !

I left one bar very disapointed and walked in to the rain. Next door I saw aperitif restaurant/bar place and decided to try it out. It was great! I mean everything! Its a very small place and this Is what I like. I got carbonara, 3 cocktails and biscof desert. I spent 30£. First of all, 30£??? How did I spent just that? Second of all omg the desert looked fantastic! The food in general was good. And I will 100% come back! I was served by 3 staff members all of them were lovely, its nice to see genuine smiles! I loved it there and I didnt want to leave! Thank you x

Handily placed near to the A183 which comes off the Wearmouth Bridge skirting the river on High St. West Aperitif has an extensive menu of Italian food in a small and pleasant, clean restaurant. The portion size is perfect. I easily had a full 3 course meal and was satisfied. Food quality was excellent. Staff are extremely friendly and chatty.

Staff were brilliant! Cocktails were amazing attention to detail was fantastic! Food was fresh, hot and well presented, really lovely. It was so nice we booked again for the next evening of our trip to Sunderland. Definitely recommend.

We had an amazing time for our family night out! The staff was lovely and provided us with a speedy service. I cannot stress how delicious the food is and if you are a lobster lover like myself, then you have to try the Surf and Turf! The lemon sorbet was unbelievable too :)

Fabulous food with really fast service. Prawn cocktail delicious! Staff very attentive and efficient. White Zinfandel wine very disappointing but was made more palatable with a dash of lemonade. Cocktails were amazing.

Went for a meal after The Rocky Horror Show next door at The Empire. The restaurant was really busy but the service was excellent and the food was delicious! Everything was sooo tasty and good portions. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was brilliant. Will definitely be going again.

Delicious Sunday lunch, all of the meat and vegetables were cooked to perfection, gravy was super tasty. Staff were lovely and helpful. 100% will be back again and 100% recommend.

Ordered a rib eye steak. It was lovely but was not well done as I asked, it was more medium, I would of informed the waiter but I was on a time schedule, nevertheless I ate it and it was it was very tasty. The staff are excellent, very friendly. Definitely would go back again. Another little problem I had was trying to ring them, I know it was the Christmas period so I put it down to that, but my niece rang them and got through straight away! I was using the phone number from Google maps and I'm sure this might not be correct. Ring the mobile number which is on there.

Went here on the 20/4/22. For my daughter 30th. 18 ov us. Couldn't ov asked for a better place to go. Staff were great and on the ball. Food was absolutely beautiful. Defo be going back and well recommended.

Was busy and seating very packed in, but it's only a small place. The food was gorgeous and prices are good. Staff very friendly and helpful. What more do you need?

Dave and his staff are always helpful and the service is always friendly and polite. The food is always delicious and presented well, We all had Sunday Lunch which we all enjoyed.
