Lucky's Cafe

I've never been to this part of Boro before but we parked near here and had to come in. The atmosphere was great - like you're at a friend's house. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge!! If you pass by you have to stop in. I'll be back 😀

A very interesting experience, the lad who runs it says it like it is, which I like. Amazing breakfast for £6.50, as much toast and tea as you like and lovely Lucky the dog, what more could you ask for! I will visit again very soon

Always happy to give you your food as you want it cooked. Meals come with unlimited tea or coffee refills. Most extensive range of sauces and accompaniments I have seen for many years. Great range of menu choices including vegetarian options. Beware portions are huge so need a BIG appetite to go large. Photo is of Lucky sleeping on her favourite teddy for a pillow. Café Is named after her and she is so docile and friendly to all visitors.

what a gorgeous little cafe . The owner is so lovely and takes time to talk and get to know each customer, he will always ask how you like certain items cooked and tailor the meals to you . Great for everyone. The atmosphere was lovely , everyone speaks to each other and it’s also a dog friendly place which is always a bonus! Food was immense , the portion sizes are huge and a great value for money . All fresh and hot , has that lovely homemade feel . Class little place will definitely be back many more times in the future !!

This has got to be the best cafe I've ever been to...Great food,large portions, great prices and very friendly owner and great atmosphere, plus unlimited tea and coffee...I can't recommend the place highly enough

Nick is a great, genuine bloke who takes pride in everything that he does. The food is always excellent and so is the service. It's always a pleasure to pop in, say hello and enjoy some excellent food. The chicken is out of this world.

Popped in for breakfast on my way to work for a breakfast, nice friendly welcome, offered small, medium or large. Opted for medium, thought they had served me a large by mistake!! Best Value for money breakfast in Middlesbrough

Always a good meal to be had here. Nick, the proprietor is full of friendly banter. You do have to make your own coffee or tea but this for me is a good thing, because every cup I make for myself is perfect. Prices are very reasonable indeed.

A nice little hidden gem. A wide variety of tea and coffee, love the concept of make it your self. The food was excellent and plenty of it. The thing that sold me to it was lucky herself came up and greeted us. Will be gong back again soon.

Portions are massive, food is gorgeous, owner is lovely, prices are class. A proper old school greasy spoon, in the best way possible.

Great and tasty breakfast, and really huge. Probably The biggest breakfast I’ve ever had in the whole of UK.

Had two breakfasts here lately, cooked quickly and cooked to perfection. Thoroughly enjoyed them and the friendly service too, the prices are very good also. I'll definitely be back. *****
