Fairladies Barn

- Great base for the Lake District and with the added perk of being in a coast village
- Free parking at the property
- The owner couldn't be more accommodating with an attitude of 'if there's any issue at all, just tell me and we'll get it sorted' - we needed a lightbulb replacing and he did it straight away. He also helped recommend attractions nearby and ask him about the ice cream at the beach - it's to die for
- No frills, clean accommodation at a great price. Liquid soap was provided (no shampoo or dish liquid) but there is a convenience store in the village and supermarkets in Whitehaven and Gosforth if you need to top up on groceries and toiletries
- For people with a fear of dogs: The owner has 2 pitbulls in the garden surrounding the reception but they're very friendly

Great place to stay for a quiet getaway, owner couldnt do enough for us, very nice chap. If your looking to see the lake district i would have no problems recomending fairladies.

Lovely place very homely feel! Our daughters felt so at home there, and would love to go back next year!

Wonderful stay and we also brought an Elderly Aunty who throughly enjoyed her time. Will and Nicola were welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them . The rooms were clean warm and cosy. Breakfast was excellent and tasty and filling . Would heartily recommend this establishment to all.

I have stayed at Fairlady Barn the past few Months whilst working in the area.
It has overall been a great stay, it was cosy, good bed, kettle, brew kit and a fridge in the room, Will & Nic where Brilliant hosts, they facilitated and helped me out if I needed anything, prices were decent.

It has been a home from a home, St Bees is a great area, I recommend this place for weekend getaway, holiday or if you are working in the area.

Great location, beautiful surroundings!
The pipes were a bit loud, I thought a train was coming when I turned the shower on, but as I didn't hear anyone else's it didn't bother me....
And the mini fridge didn't work unfortunately but the room itself was nice and clean and comfortable, no hassle with check in or check out, great value for money!

Will and Nicola are amazing hosts ,we stayed with them August 2019.We have just spent a couple of days at Fairladies Barn again .Still amazing,so lovely and clean comfy beds,hot shower,fridge in our room.ooh and amazing sea view.

Pub across called odd fellows we
recived a lovely welcome, Will recommended the pub on the beach for sunday lunch it was a nice friendly restaurant andlovley food ,defenley will stay there again
