A traditional hardware store with a wide range of goods at reasonable prices. The varnish we were enquiring about was cheaper than the DIY Superstores. Friendly and helpful staff. On most recent visit under pandemic conditions their counter had moved to the door and the assistant fetched anything you required.

Definitely recommend. Very friendly owners. Always a friendly smile and a chat. And always seem to have everything I need. Saves travelling to large stores.

Bought a kettle here in May. The switch went after just 5 months. Took it back expecting no quibble replacement. Took receipt. Clean and not scaly, lighly used.
The woman assistant was going to replace it until a rather abrupt man said ‘not without the box’! Seriously who keeps a kettle box!!
