Rumbles Fish Bar

I live around the area and left 2016 back in the US. I have always compared fish and chips from this place to other places I have been to, even traveling north of England, Europe, and stateside. This place has the best fish and chips. If I have another chance to come back to Mildenhall , rumble fish would be my first stop to eat. I decided to write this review as my appreciation, and as I am eating fish n chips here in california, I always remember that rumble fish is still my number 1.

3 large cod and chips
2 large sausage and chips
5 cans pop just under £50
The chips are fantastic really fresh tasty and fluffy
The cod was fried to order and everyone really enjoyed
Kids said they loved the battered sausage.
The guy serving was really pleasant
We sat at small tables outside on a nice sunny day and we all enjoyed our chippy tea

Absolutely love this place. We order online most of the time and when we turn up they start wrapping it so it doesnt sweat in the wrapping. The people are amazing and are always polite and friendly. The food is top notch most of the time. Sometimes hit and miss with the chicken burgers other than that there is no complaints.

Soft inside, Chewy(fried with skin) right amount crispness outside. "they cook it as you order"

Rumbles had a review appeared from someone having rang up and ordered gluten free. So i called asked if they could do gluten free fish and chips. We was excited to find they did. What amazing, tasty, large fish. Cooked to perfection and no skin. The batter was so light and scrumptious. Chips perfect. Non greasy. Wow i was amazed how good this was. We travelled from soham and will do it all time now its our favorite place. Well done to rumbles for a great treat. You must try this fish bar as it friendly, clean and good prices with excellent food. See you again soon.

Passing through Mildenhall to visit another shop, when we stopped for something to eat. Pleased to see they are open on a Sunday and the food was fresh, hot and cooked just right. The portions of chips were huge! Absolutely how fish & chips should be... lovely! Thank you Rumbles

Incredible food, and even better service!! You can tell that the owner really cares about what he does, and is always ready with an interesting conversation while you wait. I can’t recommend this place enough!! Best fish and chips in the area!

Rumbles is awesome! From the warm greetings when you first walk in, the excellent service, the sense of humor of the owner, not to mention the great food. Everything was cooked to order and delicious. The owner also let us try some wings he was working in which were also great. I highly recommend if you are in Mildenhall.

Best fish and chips in the area!! The piece of fish was huge and amazingly crisp on the outside and flavorful and flaky on the inside. We also got lamb doner which was a huge portion and so good! Highly recommend.

We always have the pensioner meal, because we are pensioners and it is more than sufficient. The staff are friendly, and as the chips are freshly cooked they are lovely, the fish is gorgeous too as it is cooked and the fat is allowed to drain away. I cannot stand greasy fish and chips.

Only went to Rumbles because the high score reviews. I went on Thursday with my wife and father. The owner was great, very chatty, loves his shop and is very proud of his fish... It was probably the best haddock I can remember eating, the chips were also cooked perfectly.

Phoned up today to see if they did gluten free chips. They do yay, one happy gluten free 8 year old :). You need to phone to order them. I believe he also said they do gluten free fish some days too :). The staff were all lovely.

Genuinely the nicest chips for miles around, (trust me on this! Lol), and the owner is super friendly and lovely. Excellent chicken, fish, and if you're super hungry, let the owner know and he'll make you a ridiculously large burger with donar meat. My go-to fish and chippy!

Great fish and chips, family friendly staff is amazing. Feels like going to your friends to pick up food! Highly recommended.

My husband and I just ordered from here, and the food is great! The owner and staff has amazing customer service and definitely keep you entertained while you wait on your ideas! We are very pleased and will be back for sure!

Beyond epic service! We walked in with our three kids and Moss immediately pulled out three lollipops for the kids. Kept them busy while the food was being made. While everything was cooking he interacted with my kids, made us feel super welcome, and allowed my kids to become "helper chefs". Gave them chef hats as well! Just amazing. Honestly will come back here again and again.

The fish and chips were freshly made and delicious. The customer service was very good and very friendly. Our favourite place in town.

It's our favorite place we go there a couple times a month. They have the best chips, the fish is fantastic and we really enjoy the chicken wraps

The food and service was absolutely delish !!! You must visit if not more for us 😁 never been to a fish and chip shop that I would rate so highly. Thankyou guys xx
