Left it too late to buy loafers for my end of September holiday. Everyone else regards them as out of season.? Went to TJ Hughes and bought a really nice pair for £18.Thank you, "I'll be back".

I love this shop shop as it has loads on offer and is always well stocked. There's a cafe in store and staff are friendly

Only thing wish it could be bigger. But that's hard in Durham and city centre.
Staff always very helpful and polite. Good range of mix of items to buy what you might need.

Fantastic department store. Very old fashioned in style but great bargains. Particularly good electrical. But all depts have great bargains. Lots of stuff for young people which they will see if they actually go in. Very good service. Hope this shop doesn't close down. Cafe at back with best views in Durham.

Fantastic clothing and christmas supplies are instore at present. Mens and womens purfumes at great prices. I must mention the restaurant, OMG home made food, served piping hot and delicious and great prices, kids eat for £3.50 try it you wont be disappointed. Shop is busy but staff in both shop and restaurant are so helpful. There are toilets available.

I really wanted a new handbag and this was one of then places I went too. Very reasonable

I had expected more electricals but there was a good choice of clothing and footwear. Garden furniture too. Very convenient if you buy a larger items as the shop is located next to the carpark which has lifts

It was great to find an old fashioned store in the centre of Durham, lovely friendly staff, bought so much that we didn't know we needed that we ended up buying a wheelie suitcase to carry it in !
