No 1 South African Shop

Found the shop by accident as we saw it on our way to Milford on Sea. The choice of SA items, plus the meat products (biltong, droewors, boerewors) was excellent. We bought more than we planned to 😊 The shop was quite busy with Saffas & Brits.

If there was an option for 10 Stars, then that's what I'd give them. This SA shop is most definitely one of the best in the UK. Well stocked and really friendly and helpful staff. The biltong is probably the nicest in the UK! There is no cheap or quick visits here. You WILL need to ensure you take in just the right amount you intend on spending in CASH if you need to budget or be able to say 'no' to something you dont really need. Or you blink and you're tapping the plastic for a £200 spend when you only went for a box of Pronutro!!! Trust me it's a fact! Honestly.

Mazoe is our main reason to shop..biltong is great too,big variety of old favourites if u cannot let go of your addictions.....

Great selection of sa food and the biltong was cut fresh, gonna order more online when I get home.

On your way to Bournemouth get some Tasty biltong and more! The Biltong was a good price per kg and super tasty! This is a lovely shop and I had great service! I would Highly recommend this shop! They stock all the favs - ceam soda, pine nut, Mazowe juice, mealie meal, huge stock of borewous and steaks too and so much more of the stuff we love 🇿🇼🇿🇦Very easy to get to, there is parking right near the shop.

Being a Saffa living in UK, it was amazing to come across this shop on one of our outings to Christchurch. They have a really good selection of South African staples. Their boerewors and biltong are fantastic and just brings back good memories of home. They are definately on the list for regular visits now to stock up on SA essentials.

Visited this shop for the first time this weekend, really nice friendly staff and very helpful in guiding me to choose the right biltong. Have visited the other shop in Southampton and they are both excellent. Proper shopkeepers who care about what they sell and their customers. Will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely shop with the best biltong I've ever had, really nice shop staff who helped us choose right portion sizes and flavours. Highly recommend.

Popped in for Biltong. Came out with a bag full of delicious goodies.

I have been going here for nearly 20 years at this point. The biltong and dried meat is to die for and is as close to original dried South African meat as you can get. The store is owned by the most wonderful people and I could not recommend them enough A+

So many choices but my primary reason for going was the biltong and droe wors. Was not disappointed as the selection was large enough to satisfy and homesick Saffa. Got stokkies and dry droe wors (exactly what I wanted) and the price was fair. Just wish I'd bought more and it didn't last long at all

Best biltong in the area - must have been visiting them for 15 years. Now I visit when I return to Bournemouth. Lovely staff too

Great little shopping precinct. African foods aplenty and a cafe next door plus a quality butcher at great prices, note the sign but think they are out of Lamb! See photo

Been a very happy customer for a fair few years now......Just tried the Buffalo and stokkies today too 👌🏻. A divertion is a must for any Biltong lover, but a tip never have the bag sealed as you'll be diving in on way home.... Thanks for always being awsome 😘

Loved the shop and the people inside. Friendly, clean and has plenty stock of all our favourites. The prices were better than expected.

Unfortunately the paving around the complex is not wheelchair friendly. Had difficulty getting to the shop.

Super friendly. Stocks most things. Biltong and droewors are some of the best in the Dorset area. Definitely would recommend the eswatini kitchen Swazi fire sauce. The only hot sauce i keep coming back to 😋

Generally it can be quite expensive due to the majority of items being imported but well worth the money.

Both cash and card payments accepted. Staff are just awesome - Definitely worth dropping in 🇿🇦 👍
