The Trainer Container

New trainer day, I called into #thetrainercontainer last week to take a look at what was on offer as I needed a new pair of trainers, I went with a pair in mind but after trying a couple of pairs on I decided to go with the pair Tom the owner recommended for what actually met my needs and the added bonus of being cheaper than what I had originally gone in for(so no hard pushing sales jargon just really good advice on what would be best for me) with the added bonus of actually being able to take a demo pair whilst mine were on order. I opted for the on cloudeclipse and I can say they are the most comfortable pair of trainers I’ve owned and believe me I’ve gone through quite a few over the years. So i would just like to give a shout out to Tom and Ollie for a great service and also great advice.oh yes I also treated myself to a nice pair of oofos recovery shoes.

Had a trip and rip on the old Salomon XR Shift trail shoes this morning, I came across the trainer container on the Prestatyn to Dysarth trail.
Having had several pairs of Salomon's, I wasn't looking to change, but after trying a couple of pairs of Hoka's, I was convinced and walked away with a pair of Speedgoat 6 shoes, great job Oli 😀

Tom provided me with an excellent service, helping me to choose a pair of trainers for my long runs and an additional pair for walking/recovery. Tom encouraged me to test the trainers to make sure I was satisfied and never put me under pressure to make a purchase. Highly recommended and I’ll be returning when I need my next pair!

I live in Hong Kong and it’s a bit of a nightmare finding good quality trainers as a 174cm tall female with size 8 feet. In HK, trainers for women usually go up to size 6 and so my poor size 8 feet have to wear clompy male ones which don’t look good on me and I don’t feel good in them either! It’s a bit of a holy grail challenge to find the perfect fit and I have spent a fortune on online duds.

So I’ve finally found the holy grail in trainer shopping! At Trainer Container, Oli analysed my walking gait and recommended a pair of women’s trainers suitable for running and gym workouts (see pic 1). I ended up walking out with a pair of waterproof trainers as well - essential for HK’s wet weather season! (see pic 2)

A fantastic shopping experience with the personal touch, Oli’s expertise was reassuring. I’m so grateful to him for taking the training shopping headache away! Highly recommend and I’ll be back next time I need some trainers!

Just purchased a lovely pair of Hoka trail shoes. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable about the trainers. They also excepted my blue light discount 😊

Tom and Oli made absolutely sure I had the right shoes for me before purchasing. I tried on three different types (eclipse, monster, surfer) before finally going for the eclipse and it’s great, doesn’t leave me fatigued and it turned out cheaper then getting them online.

I had an issue with a pair of trainers but no issue at all with Tom, the owner, as his customer service is second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend the trainer container.

I can’t recommend Tom and the Trainer Container enough. I visited last spring having secured a charity place in a marathon this year. As a complete non runner I didn’t know where to start looking for trainers. Tom was really insightful and recommended a pair of On Clouds. They were fantastic. So much so that I have now bought three pairs in total. I completed the Brighton marathon yesterday with (relatively) fresh legs and blister free. Thank you Trainer Container. Here’s to the next marathon…

What can I say a brilliant experience! I was looking for some comfortable footwear for work and was advised by Oli on what would be appropriate. He was really helpful and honest. Really pleased with my purchase and will definitely be returning in the future.

Both Tom and Oli have been incredibly helpful. Having the trainers available to try before you buy is great.
Sadly the trainers didn’t suit me but I was refunded the deposit I’d already paid and wouldn’t hesitate to go back ☺

Fantastic customer service from Tom at The Trainer Container. He is so knowledgeable and helped me find my perfect marathon trainers. Unfortunately though due to a manufacturing fault I needed to return them a few weeks later. Tom was so helpful and has helped me get a replacement new pair so I can continue my training. Much better customer service than any of the bigger running shops and on our doorstep too 👍🏼 Thanks again Tom

Although these are marketed as running shoes you don't have to be a runner to appreciate how comfortable these shoes are. I normally suffer with back ache whilst walking this hasn't vanished but is considerably reduced. A massive thank you to the very knowledgeable staff at the Trainer Container at Meliden.

Great service and really enjoyed the experience. Got to try before buy which is great and not many places allow, it allowed me to try out the best shoes for myself. Amazing advice and some great trainers. On cloud shoes are available and new stock coming with hoka trainers which is exciting. Would definitely recommend! 100% worth the visit and purchase.

Thank you to Oli for his help on Thursday. I haven’t been able to road run for years due to having hyper mobile joints and injuring easily, so I have been sticking to trails and sand dunes which I’ve become a bit bored of. I’ve been wanting to take part in park run for so long with the hope to sign up to other road running races but haven’t been able to trust my knees. Oli was amazing help when I visited, he must’ve had me try on about 6 different pairs of trainers and sent me out around the carpark in a couple to find the right support for my knees and ankles. We found the perfect pair and I have just ran park run, my first time road running in years, without a single twinge! So thanks so much to Oli for taking so much time and care to find me the trainer with the right support :)
