B&Q Bishop Auckland

Great DIY store with plenty of items. Good selection of indoor plants (we bought some on our last visit) which are reasonably priced.
Also have some great deals on home automation products.
Have a pop in!

During a recent visit to B&Q, Bishop Auckland store I was assisted by a lovely lady called Carol in the paint department.
Carol was professional, knowledgeable and very helpful with my enquiries.
I wouldn't hesitate to shop their again.

The lady on the paint mixing counter (didn’t get her name) could not of been more helpful she helped with colour choice and saved us money by helping us sign up for a club card 😊
Another plus is the catering van in the car park which we have made return visits to 😋

Went with a friend who wanted a specific colour paint mixing. The staff couldn't be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble and wete really friendly

Good selection of goods, available to check stock on line and life saver to tradesmen caught out on Sunday when builders merchants are shut. New to the store are self service checkouts, just hope the new addition doesn't put the very helpful staff out of a job ( with exception to the extremely unhelpful & arrogant manager or assistant manager 🤷‍♂ .

I always find the staff in this B&Q to be genuinely helpful, they also really do want feedback on how they are doing. Yes, it’s not the biggest B&Q and they don’t stock everything, but its always a pleasure to go there to get DIY stuff for a project if I can. A lot of other B&Q stores could learn a thing or two from the team who work at this store.

Great relevant advice from two different department assistants. Bought plants at 20% off. Lovely relaxing experience.

You can't go wrong with BandQ, always well stocked, helpful staff, their own brand Magnusson tools are great value and never break. And if you say you are buying compost from outside, which is too bulky to take to the till, they assume you're honest and you pay inside at the till then pick it up later when you're ready.

Great store everything you could ever need for the home mainly decorative goods allthough usual B & Q high prices ( screwfix the company it owns I'd much more reasonable for every day materials:)

Anything you need in the shop and very clean. Absolutely loved the way the staff was smiling when I entered the shop. Had the chance to speak to management staff and I understand why things were so great in that shop. Excellent leader 👏 👍

Went into the Bishop Auckland branch yesterday to look for a certain colour paint and some glue ,Dot and Dawn were very helpful and knowledgeable.It’s nice to go into a shop and get friendly staff that’s down to earth and can have a laugh with thank you

Absolutely spot on ! Ran ourselves ragged around the North East looking at kitchens until we met Arianna in B and Q last night. What an absolute gem ! Helpful, polite, knowledgeable and friendly with attentiveness to detail. Thanks a million pet.

Also a shout out to the older gentleman near the kitchen area last night who was also able to help until Arianna was free.

On the other hand all that can be said regarding your competitors is sharks with Turkish teeth.

Large free car park. Prices are getting very competitive, some items low to no stock on last visit but that's a nation wide problem. Like that I can research and check stock levels before I visit, unfortunately not always accurate so can be disappointed.

We are pensioners so get 10% off offer for card holders on Wednesdays. Just bought a hedge trimmer. Brilliant helpful staff.

This store has everything in place for safe shopping. Well marked spacing, helpful staff. The only problem was no garden fence paint. Now we know what everyone's been doing during lockdown.
