Our first visit to Ramster Gardens and with our 6 month old puppy, who loved exploring the many pathways with us too. We were about 3 weeks too late to see the colourful flowers of the rhododendrons and azaleas although we knew that before we travelled to the gardens. There were still splashes of colour to appreciate as we walked along the pathways which meandered beneath the trees, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The cafe, adjacent to the car park, is great and we sat in the sunshine eating a very pleasant sandwich and piece of cake. Recommended.

We visited here for the first time today. The gardens are stunning, even on a busy day, they were a haven of tranquility. As for the displays of Azaleas and Japanese Maples, wow.... The café food and drinks were very good too. The sculpture exhibition was an added bonus. If you're thinking of going, then go. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lovely peaceful walks in an informal woodland garden. Best times to visit are May when the rhododendrons are in bloom, and autumn when the leaves change. Very dog friendly on a lead with no other restrictions. Great cakes, smoothies and coffee.

Very nicely maintained gardens with admission fee. Beautifully curated themed seasonal garden areas with lots of colour and life. A few choice statues and sculptures are mixed in. Although it isn't huge it is big enough and there are many regular and sculpted benches along the way. Admission and a garden map can be obtained from the tea and cake emporium adjacent to the car park. We spent just under 3 hours strolling, chatting and discovering a new love of trees. For this garden has a many and varied selection of our woody cousins!

What an absolute gem of a find. I fell in love with Ramster Gardens from the get go. There is a little cafe situated by the main car park that serves hot food and drinks. The gardens themselves are absolutely stunning with such a vast array of different trees, shrubs and flowers. There are some fantastic sculptures too along the walk. You can pick various routes to get around the gardens but whichever path you choose, you won't be disappointed. It was lovely and quiet also, dog and child friendly and the entry fee is a small price to pay for what waits beyond. Highly recommended.
Update: Now that summer is here, the flowers are out and it really is amazing.

The weather was beautiful when we visited. Some of the rhodies were still out and beautiful. The wild flowers also beautiful. A lovely quiet location with a small café. Plenty of outside seating and tasty simple food (bacon butties were great). Several routes through the gardens, of varying difficulty. In wet weather some would be a bit tricky for those not fleet of foot. Parking on site.
Would definitely visit again.

Beautiful gardens in my humble opinion, better than Leonardslee. Fabulous collection of ancient trees and Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Camelias and Acers. Lovely walks, fab little cafe. Well worth a visit and not expensive to get in. Love this place and friendly staff too.

Absolutely lovely day out. Will take a few hours or so to get round everything and at this time of year was just stunning. Sweet little tea room at the entrance with very nice staff. Loos are in the carpark with disabled accessible toilet. Going is a bit rough in places so stout boots recommended. 10/10

Go now !! You might have ten more days before the flowers fall off.. May is the month to visit. Worth an afternoon of a nice walk and peaceful spots. Feast for the eyes.

Beautiful place for a walk. Rhododendrons, Azelas and decorative trees in a 'wild' woodland setting. Every turn has a new vista. The natural setting means wheelchair access may be an issue.

A beautiful garden, well laid out and with a mixture of specimen trees and shrubs and a woodland lake and sculptures. Not too large to be a tiring walk. Very welcoming tea room offering a small but delicious selection of dishes.
