Great place to shop with covered car park for when it's raining, which is pretty much all the time haha

Only thing, people could use with learning how to use a escalator, just pick a side dear people 😁🤫😂

Excellent shopping experience. Staff are courteous and helpful, something which can't be said of some of the other supermarkets in Widnes. The store is always very clean. Plenty of options at checkout, staffed, self-service, and self-scan. Car park is spacious and underneath the store itself, so this is useful to keep the car cool out of the sun or dry when it rains.

Very helpful ladies on the tills, my new card didn't work so she swapped me over to the next one which was cash, no fuss or bother. Good range of products here and plenty of parking.

Easy access by car. Bit off the beaten track for public transport. Easy to navigate. Wide aisles and checkout areas. Staff not easy to find on the shop floor. I had to go to the checkout to get assistance. Changing rooms not open.

After my big shop, Paul & Travis at the fruit & veg helped me carry some recycled boxes to my car as moving house. Very helpful and friendly. Also Nick in the non-food went to trouble to find me some too. Makes me want to continue to shop here with such pleasant staff! Thank - you Tesco

Big thankyou to Alison who was working on the self scan tills, couldn't be more greatful for her help when a pot of bbq sauce spilled all over my white work shirt and then the till wouldnt work properly.. She helped me put my shopping through and even got the manager to give me a reimbursement for the shirt (pregnant and hormonal, I had just had a long day in work) and I think she could tell I had just had enough 🤣🤣.

I live in Runcorn so shopped at Asda for convenience......however, after my last two shopping trips to Tesco they are now my "go to store". The staff are so pleasant and go out of their way to help you; (take note Asda!). If you can't find something, ask one of the staff and they'll find out where it is and then take you to the aisle it's in. The store is clean, well laid out and usually has what I'm looking for; (again take note Asda!). They usually have more "manned" tills than other stores.

Been in store today! What a lovely young lady (Kelly) She was on the bread section she helped me out with my shopping, I’m sure she said her son works here and husband (how lovely) she was very kind and shown me how to sign up to Tesco Clubcard, as I’m not very good with Technology. Thank you 😊

Visited this branch of Tesco today and although I have mobility problems I added two bulky/heavy items to my initially small basket purchase. I usually buy online home delivery. Three female members of staff were very helpful- one at self checkout, one at customer services and Christine from the dairy section accompanied me to my car and put the items in and folded my Zimmer frame to put that in too. So thank you to everyone and management take note, please!

Would like to leave a review for the staff member, Sorry did not see his name. He was 'restocking the fridge items when I went in and then moved to the checkout when I was leaving.
The person had long black hair. He was so polite and friendly. He was a breath of fresh air in a crazy shop where there is not a lot of stock that would normally be there. I thank you and your colleagues for all the hard work at this crazy time.
But the person in question I thank you more for being so polite and friendly. This was Widnes tesco.

They've just reorganised the entrance and put barriers in place which diverts people from walking into each other when leaving/entering, therefore updating my review to 5* as they've addressed the one thing that let this tesco down the most.

Good size tesco and well stocked with everything you need

Staff are a bit hit and miss, whenever I go down the alcohol aisle or soft drinks aisle I hear alot of 'lad talk' swearing and judging which isn't appropriate and id rather not hear it but also it doesn't bother me that much.

The main thing that really really annoys me is the basket placement when entering the store, you come up the escalator or stairs and turn right to grab a basket whilst people are trying to turn left to go back down, so we're getting in each others way whilst it being neither of our faults, such a really stupid placement for them and causes unnecessary aggravation

I love to shop here just for the 'Brand Guarantee' alone and the fact you can self scan as you shop, earning points as you go along. There are lots of other plusses and everything is undercover...parking, trolley bays, entrances, cash machines and you can even have your car valeted while you shop!

The store itself a good experience however the car wash is OK but need to be watched otherwise they'll leave parts out. Also some of the car wash staff can't speak a word of English which whilst working here a basic grasp of the language should be a requirement

Attended this Tesco Pharmacy in order to seek treatment for Post-covid neurological symptoms.

The pharmacist was well informed and guided me through non-prescription options and reliable remedies to address these symptoms, signposted me to relevant and useful resources and advised me to contact my GP, as they'll be the first to know new information.

Also, lots of bulk buy deals. Nice.

Many thanks Tesco.

Safe undercover parking, free trolleys for mum's with babies/toddlers, really helpful staff! A young lad even carried a large box of garden furniture out to the car for me and put it in the boot. Wide aisles, brilliant food and toiletries selection and an in house pharmacy which is open till 10.30pm at night. So useful and my favourite supermarket in widnes! Considering it's always been Morrisons or Asda., Tesco must be doing something right!!

I'm from Runcorn, which means for many years I have been stuck with just a really poor Asda store for my shopping needs, either that or a difficult trip over the old bridge to Widnes. That all changed when the new bridge opened!

I can now reach Widnes far easier, so have a lot more choice of stores. Today I decided to give Tesco a try and am kicking myself for not coming here earlier. The store is far better than Asda in every way; covered parking, decent trolleys that go where you point them, clean & bright store, lots of choice, tills that actually work and staff who just get the job done.

The trip over the new bridge probably adds about 5 minutes to my overall journey time but this is well worth it for the far superior shopping experience. Also, Tesco is slightly dearer than Asda on "own brand" items, but I think the quality is better so again it's worth it.

Goodbye Asda, Hello Tesco!!
