First time in Newnham for four years: we were in the shop every day while we were there. In a world where everything begins to look the same and "The Customer Journey" is all about getting people to spend the maximum and then get out as quickly as possible, Shop at The Ship turns that wretched premise on its head, boots it in the posterior, shows it the door and tells it never to return.

Great shop, great atmosphere, great staff, open 12 hours every day, I don't know what drives these delightful people on but long may they reign. Thanks so much for providing the services you do, you're all stars and a pleasure to talk to. Hope to see you all again sometime!!!

I live locally but work commitments have prevented me from using the Cafe for quite a while. Today I had the most excellent Cheese Ploughman's lunch. The best I have eaten for many a year. In addition I was pleasantly surprised by the upgrades to the cafe area upstairs. Now by far the best in the area in my opinion. Very airy with views over the cobbled courtyard and rear garden. Add in free WiFi and excellent coffee made for a really enjoyable experience. Thoroughly recommended.

Great friendly atmosphere and if the shop is open then the post office usually is too which is great for late/weekend drop offs, cash withdrawals etc Delhi, cafe, general store all very clean & tidy - a real hub of the village.

Great indie shop on the High Street. Brilliant deli with fresh bread, decent wines on the shelves and cheese to die for. Cafe upstairs is snug and staff cheerful and friendly. A one-stop little heaven for the village.

Loved my visit and will be returning! Warm and friendly staff, great ambience and the post office is a welcome added service. And surprisingly varied range of goods in the shop too.

Ok, so I wasn't expecting too much - this being a relatively new business and what with covid and everything. But wow, what a great place! The food was tasty, hot and moreish and the service was attentive and friendly. Pricing was spot on and overall I would highly recommend and will definitely be back again. I could even shop for some essentials too which made it even better!

Superb deli counter, well worth the 7 mile journey for a tasty treat. We’ve been back many times.
