Highway cycles had the model I wanted in stock, at the right price so the decision was taken to drive the 3.5hrs there, and stop overnight nearby in the van.
All my email questions were answered, even down to measuring the bike.
Great vibe in the shop when we got there, we were expected, and offered a drink.
A relaxed opportunity to ride the bike. Helpful that the guys in the shop ride Reese and Muller, and were able to help with choice of suitable accessories based on experience.
I needed the gear selector moving over to the left side of the bars to suit me better, together with Tannus tire liners and a rear view mirror. A space was made in the diary the following morning for the mechanic (despite being booked up), who made the changes exactly as requested. Now the gears, power selector and bell all on the left, to suit. The bike was lifted into the van for us, and we were on our way. To my delight, Highway Cycles gave us customer rewards points, so ‘comfort’ bars have been ordered, which may better suit a pensioner like me. Thanks to everyone that helped make this a great customer experience.

Went to look at buying a new mountain bike. George provided easy to understand options which allowed me to choose the Trek X-Caliber 8, perfect for my budget and needs.

Recently brought in a very old Raleigh bike which needed work done on the front wheel hub & new tyre/tube fitted.

I had mistakenly booked for the wheel to be "Trued" when really it needed the hub rebuilt & Keith very kindly explained the difference and it was all done the same day. My front wheel is now on very securely and my commute along the Lea is much safer & more comfortable.

For whatever reason the tube wasn't replaced along with the tyre but after emailing about it they offered to rectify the mistake at no charge and when I returned the following weekend the job was done quickly (I had even brought another tube for the back wheel, which I was happy to pay to have fitted but for the initial mistake they very generously did this for free). Excellent customer service!

I have just had my Kinesis All Terrain gravel bike repaired at Highway Cycles. This bike is fitted with a Campagnolo Ekar 13-speed group set. When I rewaxed and fitted the chain the derailleur would not make down shifts. Even though they are not a Campagnolo dealer the found the source of the problem, no cable guide under the crank and a damaged or broken inner and outer gear cable. I am so happy that they solved the problem and ordered the required parts and delighted that it did not require a new derailleur!!!

Keith booked me in, wry helpful and friendly. Gave good advice about necessary work. On bringing my bike into Highway Cycles, George equally friendly and helpful, and explained reasons for work done (broken spokes etc). Wheel trueing first class.
Afterwards, Adam gave me good advice about my possible new gravel bike. All round good experience.

Knowledgeable staff. Great mechanics... Will always give an honest appraisal of work required with work completed quickly and to a high standard. Always good communication from the store if they come across anything unexpected or if parts/spares are delayed.

Had some mechanical work completed. They supplied a detailed quotation and have a good online workflow system enabling me to approve the work. Received notification when work was complete and collected ok. 25 year old bike feels like new again.

Very happy with my Brompton e-bike after having an eco-service. The bike looks and rides like new again.

Went in asking about whether they had a compatible derailleur hanger. For no extra cost they identified a compatible one, modifed to make it a perfect fit and then fitted it perfectly in their workshop off their own bat at no extra cost. Just brilliant service.

Exceptional service! The staff here are not only incredibly friendly but also highly knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to fix my punctures and helped me choose the perfect new tires.

A well stocked, friendly and professional shop offering bicycle sales and servicing. Great selection of road, trail, racing, leisure, trick and electric bicycles, accessories, tools etc. Now a dealer for Mafia bikes, which is why we were a customer. Great service - highly recommended.

Please beware the militant business that's opposite to highway cycles. They hand out £60 parking fines if you park in their parking bays. Can't fault the hardworking gentlemen at highway cycles for having to share their workplace with these idiots. Despite my parking fine, I was delighted with my service.

Highway Cycles are a professional, friendly and personable company. I recommend anyone wanting a gorgeous bike visit here. I came here wanting repairs on my Specialized Bike and they helped immensely. The staff are always friendly and really helpful/knowledgeable. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to purchase a bike or accessories! I came back and purchased this Scott bike a week later for my partner.

What do you look for when you’re a casual cyclist (no lycra, no races) and you visit a specialist cycle shop to buy a leisure bike for day-to-day use? You want a friendly welcome, an empathy for your level of cycling, an acceptance of your budget, advice about the market and a thorough insight into the products available. Oh, and a decent cup of coffee! I got all of this at Highway today. Great service. Great range of bikes, particularly e-bikes. And a clear understanding of what I wanted. Cheers guys.

We walked into the new lovely bike shop in bishops stortford with no expectations and loved it. enthusiastic about the philosophy of the shop and about the people who work there. We had honestly communicated that we were on a bike tour at the moment and would therefore not buy a bike, but we were still welcomed with open arms and their shop concept was explained to us. If you are looking for a bike shop in Bishops Stortford that values customer care and humanity, you should buy your bike here. ...I rarely walked out of a bike shop where I thanked them for the great visit.

Great customer service! Got a Trek Marlin 7 from them few weeks ago. The staff there were really helpful and friendly.
Strongly recommended to anyone who is looking for a bike or fix their bike. Highway Cycles is the place to go to!
Phone them for any bike stocklist as the demand for bikes are high in these times.
