Tesco Extra

I’ve been here so many times at probably every hour of the 24 hours they’re open on different occasions!

Well stocked, convenient and good parking.

I like it, I also like small independents but this is a good TESCO :)

Great price's and the new displays of all the items in the store look amazing asked Fran and Chris' about the displays and that they have done a spectacular job they are very friendly staff.

Store looked really good today and could find everything we needed.
I thought the crisps and squash area looked great, well done 👍

Big Tesco's is quite a bit cheaper!

Just used the Pharmacy. Great as always, pleasant staff.

Standard tesco and friendly staff. Always well stocked. Just wish these places were 24 hour again for us shift workers

Great friendly staff and good place to shop

We used the scan as you shop and when we went to check out unfortunately the scanner froze and restarted so the lady running the area, Erin was very helpful and took care of us and took us to the tills and rescanned everything for us. She was very apologetic and showed us wonderful customer service. You can tell she takes pride in her work. Thank you very much Erin :)

Funnily enough, I probably would not of rated Tesco this highly (or have bothered to rate at all) had I not looked for alternatives recently due to the cost of living crisis.

We decided to shop around to see how the stores compared. Firstly, we tried Lidl. Lidl’s prices have risen exponentially since I last shopped there. We had to physically go shopping (we currently click and collect), everything was wrapped in single use plastic (we’re trying to reduce our plastic waste) and we couldn’t get everything we wanted. The shop (after we had been to Tesco to get the other things that we could not get at Lidl) was £10 more expensive.

Secondly, we tried Asda. I used to work at Asda, and it is not a favourite of mine. However, everyone has been raving about Asda’s smart price range recently, and we thought we ought to give it a try. We could click and collect, but had to go into the store (initially because we could not FIND click and collect. Only to learn it was in the store, and didn’t have parking bays like Tesco) and then transfer all of our shopping from the store to the car, where our bags were. The amount of plastic wrap on the products was UNREAL! The click and collect process was a headache in-store and I didn’t find the produce to be as good as that from Tesco. We saved £5 (using my husbands ‘My Perks’ app through his work). It was not worth the saving. I would rather spend the extra £5 and have better quality food, a smoother transaction, and less impact on the environment.

It may sound pathetic, but I cannot WAIT to return to usual and go back to our usual Tesco shop next week! 😅 It has been stressful 😂

Good store. Great range of produce and staff are keen and friendly. Clean and attractively laid out and you don't pick your food from a cardboard box like a back street pound store and nor do you have to queue for ages at the checkout like you do in a nearby supermarket which has become fashionable in the last couple of years but where there isn't enough parking space.

Good and easy to use for 90% of your needs in household and food items.

Very nice breakfast and coffee. Nice staff, quick service.

We would like to say a massive thankyou to Donna and her team, my mum collapsed in store yesterday and staff rallied round to make sure my mum was comfortable, and also the help of a customer which called the ambulance, Donna was truly amazing and stayed with my mum talking to her and holding her hand, thankyou to George from ambulance controll room for being in the rite place, we honestly can't thankyou enough xxx

Had what I wanted good selection of groceries it's a bissy shop on a modern estate.

The newly refurbished restaurant is lovely and so are the cooked meals which are always hot. The children's meals are very good value. Attentive staff and the tables are clean

Extremely helpful staff Andrew (Scottish) went and found the two jumpers that I required in a smaller size and has put them by for me to exchange tomorrow, very polite and nothing was to much trouble. Fantastic customer service Andrew.

Very convenient store in a nice location with a good pharmacy, Tesco Mobile store and Tesco cafe. Good parking and the toilets are in a accessible location. Better than the St. Oswald's store.

Lots of lovely food

Great branch of Tesco, good parking with two entrances/exits, staff are helpful. There is also a costas on the site. Only slight issue is the ATM's are hard to find but other than that very good
