If I could write a long review I would, simply put this is the best place to buy and sell cars they really are unique and look after you and most importantly they are fair. Used them for years will not go anywhere else in South West. I've actually become kind of friends with Simon, Shaun is also brilliant. You can search high and low but these guys are the pinnacle of used car sales.

Easily the best car buying experience I've ever had. I primarily dealt with Simon who was absolutely fantastic, but all the other team members I've spoken to were just as polite and incredibly helpful.

No pressure to buy at any stage, always quick to respond to any questions I had. I would rate higher than 5 if I could, I genuinely can't recommend highly enough. I will certainly be a returning customer in future, thanks!

At last, the used car salespeople that you CAN trust.
I recently bought a car from Andrew Toms, and I have been nothing but impressed by the staff and the business in general. I’ve spoken to most of the team (all of whom were polite and very helpful) but it was Shaun who was there when I visited for a test drive and who subsequently looked after me.

Firstly, there was absolutely no pressure, I was left to browse and inspect the car I was interested in at my own pace.
Once I'd taken a test drive and prior to agreeing to buy the car, Shaun was able to answer all my questions/concerns and went the extra mile to ensure that the car was prepared to my satisfaction – and I’m quite fussy!
The car was then serviced and MOT’d and I collected it a few days later. Overall, I felt it was a great experience and that I'd been given a fair deal.

One week later, with no sign of any problem thus far, the car began to make a loud but intermittent knocking sound at idle, which was alarming. I sent Shaun a message and received a quick response. I got a local opinion on the source of the problem, it was probably the dual mass flywheel. I reported back to Shaun and without hesitation he assured me it would be sorted. We arranged a mutually suitable date for the work to be done and a whole new clutch kit and new flywheel were fitted in one day. I was shown the faulty components as confirmation that the repair was successful, and I drove it home that afternoon. Greatly relieved!

So, I wouldn’t normally write such a comprehensive review, but with service as good as I received, it would seem rude not to. Buying a car is scary thing and these people really do seem to care about their customers. It’s a busy little garage and I can see why; they've worked hard to build a great reputation and they're clearly not prepared to lose that.

Great hassle free experience and a breath of fresh air. We wanted a smaller reliable car for a work commuting job. Dealing with Shaun was a breath of fresh air having been caught out by the dreadful Platinum Car Sales Plymouth previously. From the initial phone call, new MOT with pads and discs replaced on the Peugeot at no extra cost, to picking the car up which actually had half a tank of fuel in. Professional, polite and a superb service, definitely be using Andre Toms again.

We were recently looking for a Ford kuga locally and couldn't locate one. We called into Andrew Toms and Simon assured he would find us one. True to his word he found us just what we wanted, a lovely car, couldn't have found nicer if we'd travelled the country. I bought a wonderful used VW Sharan. Shaun and the team were great to work with and assured me they could be trusted to buy from. The car is a dream. Sadly, one month after buying it, a problem developed with the automatic gears/clutch. Warranty companies can be funny about clutches, but true to their word Andrew Toms took care of everything, working with the garage and warranty company to fix the problem at no cost to me. I would highly recommend.

WOW What can I say? I think this has been one of my favourite and easiest buying (and Selling experiences ever from start to finish. I spotted a Mini Countryman online at Andrew Toms Garage (local to me) and dropped in for a little browse around the forecourt, although we had been smiled at and acknowledged, never once were we followed, pressured or hassled as previously experienced by other garages. I made an appointment to test drive once lockdown was over and upon arrival handed the keys, advised it was to have a new clutch, informed of the test route and told to enjoy. The car was a dream to drive and I returned to be met by Shaun. He was so friendly, positive and despite his untouchable professionalism, very laid back. I was offered exactly what I wanted for my car and even upon inspection and scuffed up alloys, the price was held for me. After agreeing to buy the car we arranged a day to collect.
Shaun kept me informed all week as to the progress of the repairs, MOT etc. Upon collection, the car was beautifully clean shiny and warm! The paperwork and hand over was made so incredibly easy and pleasurable, the car had a full service, 12 months MOT and he even taxed it for me!
When we went out to the car I was asked to open the boot and inside was a huge Christmas hamper...I drove away the happiest customer with huge smile on my face!
I cannot recommend Shaun and his team at Andrew Toms enough, my expectations were more than met and the customer service was perfect. Having worked in garages and and in particular customer facing roles in my former career, I know this can be hard to achieve and deliver expectations.

I booked a test drive with Shaun and when I arrived, straight away I was greeted with a very warm welcome 😁Shaun was very informative and explained what was going to happen. I went out on the test drive and I LOVED THE CAR!

Over the last 15 years we have bought 4 cars from Andrew Toms. On every single occasion it has been hassle free and we have ended up with good cars. Yesterday we took our mother to look at a car.
