Visiting the town on a day out. Stumbled across this AMAZING, traditional toy shop. Didn’t have my daughter with me but they had an awesome selection of great quality toys for a small independent shop. I had a great time looking around. The lady in the shop was polite and helpful. Chatted while I paid for my items. Definitely recommend. All towns should have one of these!

Absolute gem of a shop! Good old fashioned good quality toys and fantastic selection! We are fortunate to live not too far away and my grandchildren absolutely love to visit the store. So pleased the shop is managing to survive in these very difficult times.

Wonderful old fashioned toy shop, my kids love it there.

The woman who works there is pretty miserable. She has audio surveillance equipment and she likes to watch and listen in on conversations as I have seen and heard whilst in the shop. She doesn't make it subtle at all, and I find it quite creepy! The majority of the toys are overpriced, but the range of toys is pretty good for a small shop.

What’s the staff. Miserable lady at the counter and a man at the door who has nothing better to do than to stand at the door and complain to people like he did to me because I put the stuff in my bag because there was to much to carry by hand. I then put it on the counter and payed for it and he complained at me for trying to shop lift.

My wife went to visit the store with our daughter in a pram to be confronted with a set of steps. When asked if there was an alternative entrance the lady very abruptly told her no and offered no assistance to get the buggy in. Suffice to say we will not be visiting again.

I've read some of these reviews about how grumpy and rude the old couple who own the shop are and I couldn't agree more, I've been in several times as my children are always keen to look at the toys, every time we are watched closely, the last time we went in my 2 boys went upstairs to have a look around, they came down a short while after and we left, as we walked up the street they told me the old woman had followed them and told them abruptly IF THEY'RE NOT GOING TO BUY THE TOYS THEN PUT THEM DOWN AND DON'T TOUCH THEM, it was only my children asking me not to go back in and have a go at them that stopped me, horrible shop, overpriced, rude and cold owners
