Hobbycraft Ipswich

They didn't have the wool I needed but the Staff was very helpful, particularly the lady who knew about wool, and after research on her phone she told me I could get it on line at Hobycraft. Really impressed with the service.

Attended Cricut workshop . Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Shereen was very helpful and not only answered our questions, but also demonstrated how to do/ make the things we asked about.

A really wonderful place to find a great range of crafting materials including if you're wishing to start a scrapbook.

Accessibility and general information-
Large range of items to suit most hobbies and crafts for adults and children as well as storage and stationary items, their website is really good too and you can order to pick up. The staff are all lovely, so friendly and really helpful. Double automatic door on entrance so easy to get a wheelchair in and round the store though one or two displays may need a small detour but really it's not a bother. There are two accessible parking spaces by the front door as well as others in front of nearby premises. I don't get to visit often but thoroughly enjoy having a good nose around as three is so much to see so be advised craft addicts - make a list and stick to it or be prepared to spend on crafty goodies you didn't know you wanted! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Hobbycraft I've missed you! So nice to be able to go in person again (even though they have an excellent click and collect service). Really easy to navigate the store and found everything we were looking for, plus more! Also it was really nice seeing craft makes on display, like this mobile in the picture.

Just love this shop. Very clean, and in a good spot for other shops, toilets and food places. Very helpful staff and well stocked. Enjoy a visit and a nearby coffee.

Been very impressed on every visit to this store. Staff always very helpful and knowledgeable. We even went back here to buy a sewing as J L was not so helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you to the Lady who advised me on mending a hole on Friday morning (28th April) it worked. Thank you.

Visited to collect an online order. Process was a breeze. Staff in this store are friendly and knowledgeable. The store is well laid out and labelled according to crafts or products. There is a very good variety of stock available and normally good quantities of stock held. Wheelchair friendly store, aisles wide enough to browse, no lip/step/incline at the door, just roll in off the pavement. Ample parking outside too, few disabled spots directly outside, but ample enough spaces still in good proximity to the door.

Sophie I think her name was she was one of the arty people and they didn't have any silicon oil and she gave me some from her own supply. It was so lovely the staff are amazing there they all need a pay rise!

Very good selection of hobby and craft stuff, from knitting and sewing through to art supplies etc. Also crafting such as created making with shape cutters, plus jigsaws and the like. Pleasant helpful staff.

Visited mid morning so there was no queues when we entered but a small queue had built up by the time we left. Social distancing was mainly adhered to. The store was well stocked but had been changed around since my last visit so we had to search a bit for the items that I wanted. The prices for craft items there is very good and came away with everything that I needed. The store sits in a small complex with other shops and plenty of car parking although there are only two disabled bays close by.

Good range of items for sale, they even have lots of cross stitch thread which is hard to find these days :).

Great shop, a lot of discounts if you sign on their email list. Nice service.

Really nice place. I always manage to leave with something I never knew I needed until seeing it. Very well laid out. Prices are relatively competitive. Some items will be priced very reasonably but certain brands of supplies have a good few quid on top.

All in all, great place to shop but I’d check around first for branded products.

Service is always fantastic so absolutely no complaints here.

Good range and well stocked. Friendly an knowledgeable staff. Not always the cheapest option, but you cannot browse, handle and discuss with the staff when buying online!
