It's just calmer going here than other supermarkets. Staff friendly, polite and respectful. Yes, you pay a little more but the quality is worth it. Even once in a while just for a change.

Well I can’t say I have anything to complain about, Well organised supermarket and amazing yummy assortment and happy welcoming staff! Well pricy but I love this supermarket just because it’s the best organised one ever

Clean, tidy store. Friendly, helpful staff. Store a bit crowded and chaotic but excellent selection of fresh produce and baked goods.

Hitchin is a lovely store, it’s relatively small but still well stocked. The shelves are always well stocked and everywhere is very clean. The staff are always very pleasant and happy to help. I love the quick scan option as it means I don’t need to unpack and repack bags, occasionally you will get a random rescan where they have to scan items in your shopping, which is fair enough.

Always a delight to visit Waitrose. So much to temp you!

Waitrose was busy being a Saturday but well stocked as always

Usually do on-line shopping but not always Waitrose. However my supermarket of choicee for in-store shopping is Waitrose. The Hitchin branch is ideal. Big enough without being too big. Staff knowledgeable and helpful.

A waitroses go this store is very Waitrose. Great for the house prices in Hitchen. Lovely clean store. Staff always happy to help.

I hadnt visited Waitrose for a while. I'd forgotten what a fabulous variety of items they have. Fab displays too .... middle eastern food.

Can I say the staff were absolutely lovely!! I'd asked for the stem of some flowers to be cut as I was purchasing to put in my mother's headstone. The girl at Customer Service gave me a receipt for them and explained they had been gifted to me. How nice is that!!

I went in to get a pastry of some sort as I know it’s going to be very tasty and came across these red bananas. I was not expecting that.
It’s nice that Waitrose has a great variety of produce and some very exotic food too.
Banana taste amazing, worth the price.

This store is just amazing with a range of food and non-food items available. The staff are super friendly and ever so helpful. This shop is good value for money and very well presented store.

If you go when it's quiet it's great. Nice wide aisles for social distancing. Staff are very friendly. However be careful when there's more people. There seems to be quite a lot of people who don't know what 2 metres is.

Free parking. Not crowded. Few empty shelves. Good service at the cafe - best bacon butty ever. Very helpful staff. Short queues at checkouts.

My family and I have always done our shopping there, you couldn't ask for a better supermarket if they tried. It may be small, but don't let that fool you, they have everything and I do mean everything on shelves and racks. Staff are always working, never goofing around, and are they to lend a hand to those who can't find their way around the store. The cafe is one of the big pluses, with a comfy relaxing environment and incredible paintings displayed all over the walls. I only have one problem with it and that's the seating arrangements, it should have more chairs and tables for others to sit and eat but none the less, delicious food at reasonable prices. Overall Waitrose, has been in Hitchin for many years and It has shown us that a little place, can be loved by so many

Always find the staff polite, friendly and helpful. Always go that extra mile. Good quality food produce. Only downside is it's a bit expensive but if you are looking for something unusual and top quality then this is an ideal place to shop and the coffee in the cafe is very nice.

Easy to park with plenty of space for blue badge drivers. Friendly and helpful staff. Well stocked shelves with a wide range of goods, including some kitchen wares. Reasonable fast checkout. Fresh fish and meat, together with cheeses and cakes.

How lovely is Tony the fishmonger for taking time with my 4 year old grandson! Random act of kindness!

Prices seem to have dropped over the last few months. We like the discounts that their card gives - especially when it's a surprise! We also like the 'Essentials' range and the mixed size eggs - what a brilliant idea! Great value, all free range, and very useful if you want just a small egg (as they don't come in half sizes, do they!). Staff are consistently great too. Waitrose know their market, Hitchin fits their demographic, and it's our 'corner shop' - just 4 minutes walk away. What's not to like?

I did a Click & Collect here and it is SO well organised. They contact you to arrange a specific slot within your time window (to prevent overcrowding) and you then phone them on arrival. Easy! Good social distancing even though I've been doing that for years... And most importantly, good use by dates and no substitutions. Excellent!!
