Sumners Ponds Bait & Tackle

Spent a couple of nights/days at Sumners pond. Was a great experience in a pod.
Used the tackle shop for a cradle and found it was not only reasonably priced but the staff were great. We are planning a longer stay next year.

My son loves fishing there and the tackle shop is brilliant, has lots of good fishing products and a great selection of bait, even my favourite chocolate bar! The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. By using different baits from the tackle shop he’ll stay there fishing all day and even get his homework done whilst fishing, thank you Sumners ponds 😊

Sumners Ponds and especially their well stocked Bait & Tackle Shop offers a great range of different fishing tackle and is one of the nicest, family-friendly places that we know. Every time we walk into the shop we are greeted by the lovely, kind staff, who are supported by a super team of expert Bailiffs who always have a friendly word and importantly are delighted to offer tips and advice to our eager angler. We have been fishing at Sumners Ponds for a number of years and are pleased to recommend the Shop to all who are interested.

We have stayed at Sumners several times and we always use the tackle shop. It’s equipped with some great bates and everything you need. The staff are helpful and welcoming. We would recommend this shop

What a brilliant place to fish and stay, I have been here on multiple occasions staying in a pod, lodge and camping, each time it gets better the staff are friendly and attentive, the cafe and food is amazing. The tackle shop has everything you need and more with friendly staff willing to help all times to catch you a fish.
Highly recommend and cannot wait for my next trip.

Everyone on site are so helpful, everything they do is with a smile. The location is just wonderful for fishing,walking,kids on their bikes. The lake side cafe serves up tasty food and refreshments. The tackle shop has everything you need for a day or more, well stocked and the staff are so friendly, the onsite bailiffs are always willing to give free advice and always willing to stop for a chat. A great environment to stay always clean and tidy.

The whole complex is excellent, the bait and tackle shop is reasonably priced across the board with regards to fishing itself, tackle and bait. The tackle and bait shop covers all needs required for any fishing on all of the lakes. Not to mention the brilliant fishing itself, I have had plenty of fish out on multiple trips to Ribbon and Match lake.

Great tackle shop. Not only do I use it whilst fishing on-site, which I have many times. I know it stocks everything I need if I'm fishing other venues in the area. I would recommend Sumners, over some of the other local tackle shops, especially for your carp needs 👍

This is a great Tackle shop for all your fishing needs no matter what level angler you are.
We have been here several times over the years as a family. The staff are really helpful and cater for my husband’s keen big carp fishing while my daughters and I come fishing for a more fun and relaxed approach. It ticks every box for us.
There is also a yummy cafe, great camping with lush toilet and shower facilities. It’s a win win for all of us.

I have been going to Sumners pond for years and their new tackle shop is really good plus. You know the fishing will be good when the place has excellent stock of everything you need for all five lakes. Well done guys

Great place to get any bits of kit/bait needed for a session on any of the lakes. Been a customer for over 15 years since I was a kid and loved seeing how far the shop has come. Staff are friendly and the products are the highest quality. Looking forward to my next visit!

This beautiful condition 28lb mirror was caught on Betty's lake. This specimen lake is challenging. For the serious carp angler, the rewards are there. There are also many other lakes on the complex to suit all types of anglers, young and old. It's so convenient to have a tackle shop on site to pick up those essentials and stocking up with bait for the session ahead.

New tackle shop with all the bait and tackle you will need , the tackle shop is well laid out with most major brands of both bait and tackle . They even have their own boilies in stock too ! They will also order in tackle that they don’t stock if you need it , the customer service is always the best service you could ask for .

Great shop with a good selection of bait and tackle.. many a time ive accidently left bits at home and it's always had what I needed which was very handy. Friendly staff too.

Good range of tackle and lots of it. The new shop is great. Visited in March and forgot a few bits that were all available in the shop.

They have everything you need for an amazing day, or longer, fishing experience - bait, tackle (all the bits and bobs) and five lakes. Plus, not to forget amazing customer service and help. Also, they have the benefit of an fabulous onsite café. Well worth a visit.

My son Luca fishes most weekends and absolutely loves the shop. He says it’s well stocked and good prices. It’s also very handy to have the shop when stay which is very handy.

Recently expanded with a much greater range of freshwater tackle especially carp gear. Open 7 days a week 9 - 5pm - so good to have a fishing tackle shop open on a Sunday!!!
