What a great Waitrose, all that you would expect from a Waitrose, large mordern spacious and clean. Free 2 hour parking on the roof, large coffee shop on the first floor. Conveniently located in the middle of Basingstoke

This is the principal supermarket for our weekly shop having gravitated to Waitrose as the supermarket chain that best meets our needs. We were using Waitrose already but when the Basingstoke store opened (with John Lewis at Home) it became the preferred store. The benefits are the size which maximises range of stock, speciality counters, ease of parking, ++. It was perfectly arranged when it openned but regessed with the closure of John Lewis at Home and unfathomable Government regulations affecting the juxtaposition of some categories, but as a regular that was never a deal breaker. We are happy to spend an hour+ provisioning here each week.

I needed to use the bathroom as I have a Cant Wait card and I went to the cafe but the toilets were out of order ( they have been out of order for a long time apparently) but SHANIA was very very helpful and went out of her way to show me where the other toilets were ( again 1 wasn’t working ). She was so helpful and kind and saved me !!

Best place for grocery shop and have family time in cafe . Love it ! love it love it

Very well stocked wide isles but some things are expensive but you do get what u pay for helpfull staff

Great lunch at the Wine Bar, always a lovely treat.

Great supermarket. The store is nicely laid out, with wide enough aisles to make it easy to get around.
They have a good selection of freshly baked bread, and their wine has recently reopened.
Trolleys are plentiful, and there is need to carry around a pound coin to unlock them.
The counters for fish, meat and the deli are excellent. Everything looks really fresh and staff are very helpful.
Car park is easy to navigate with enough trolley parks.

First time shop at Waitrose, a well laid clean shop. Excellent staff and quick service

Fantastic large store with free 2hr parking in the car park adjacent, but remember to get a ticket from the pay & display machine before you leave your vehicle unless you want a fine!

This store is massive, and is well stocked with everything you could possibly need for all your day to day household needs, plus more.

The cafe is lovely with really nice staff throughout the store, and it even has its own wine bar, truly amazing, and I can't wait to go back!

Definitely my favourite Waitrose ! So convenient to get to and easy to park and shop. Clean and wide space make it so pleasant to shop there. Nice cafe for some sandwiches and drinks too.

I visited Waitrose following a 'Click & Collect'. I was met at the entrance by one of the Partners & told him I had come to collect my groceries. He asked me if I would like them brought up to me. Obviously yes. A short time after, my shopping arrived & i loaded it into the boot & off I went. Brilliant!

Don't often visit, being a car journey away,but my experience was good, helpful staff & a good range of stock🙂

Many visits and all early problems sorted out now. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff and it's never too busy so a pleasure to shop here. Lovely juice bar - the green one with Spinach in is to die for.

All this and the car park conditions have changed. Free parking extended to two hours now.

Great choice and range of food. Not over priced. Very friendly helpful staff. It's never too busy so you can be in and out quickly if in a rush.

Good quality meat and fish, bakery goods are awesome. Branded foods are cheaper on other supermarkets but Waitrose's own brand oozes quality as well. Staff are happy to help and available to track items for you.

My favourite grocery store - plenty of choice and regular offers. The staff are superb - very helpful and pleasant. I enjoy a free coffee whilst choosing my items, get a free newspaper and free parking. Shopping here really is pleasure.

Superb. Clean, fresh, excellent food, lots of choice and some fantastic offers making it as cheap as - if not cheaper than - other supermarkets. Knowledgeable, cheerful and helpful staff. Plenty of car parking and plenty of ticket machines. You can park free for 30 minutes, and if you're going to stay longer, pay and claim it back - as people are less likely to use it as a car park when shopping in town, there are always spaces. Why on earth would anyone want to use the other local supermarket - which never looks clean and has too many empty shelf spaces? Recommend you try it. Well done Waitrose, very glad you have come to Basingstoke :)

I bought some strawberries called "little less than perfect" from Waitrose. Just wanted everyone to know they are absolutely delicious the best I have had so sweet yet firm. Coming from the Mediterranean less perfect shapes and sizes don't mean anything to me in fact I feel they are more natural the fruits when they are not all same size and shape . So please try and support and they are actually cheaper and tastier than the other on display even their Dutchy Organic which are pretty good but more expensive .
