There is a post office and cash withdrawal facility here. They sell a great range of basic household goods- groceries, cleaning products, birthday cards, that sort of thing. A minimum purchase of £5 if you want to use a debit card to pay, otherwise cash. There is a petrol filling station attached, and a phone box nearby. Only a 30/40 min walk from Lidgate (next village) so useful to have nearby.

I'm just back from a tour of 15 countries around Europe and this is the only place I have ever bought petrol and have been told I must remove my crash helmet before I can have petrol. The strange thing is that my helmet is an open face type so all it would reveal is my bald head.
They where polite but insistent.

I'll never use this shop again ,prices don't add up,being charged more than the RRP price,prices advertised go up when you go and pay, advise ask for your reciept ,very upset and disappoint ,it's happened to a few people now ,I've put a report in to trading standards as this sort of behaviour isn't fair to customers and the older generation who can't get to the nearest towns,the law has changed no charge on any debit card payments on any amount ,if you pay a surcharge for a debit card transaction please report this,

It’s a Friday and I turned up after searching online and seeing it was open, when I arrived it was closed so I’m very disappointed and I think the timing needs to be changed correctly.
