The Old Post Office Coffee Shop

Drab cold day lifted by this warm cosy coffee shop. Service with a smile, tasty food and nice coffee. They have a reputation for being cycling friendly and I found that to be true here, well worth the 65mile round trip. Quiet with it being a cold Monday so parked my bike out the front with no issues from the management, though I understand they have secure cycle parking in their rear garden. Definitely one to return to.

A great little gem where the decor is mixed but warm in general. Food very good and very reasonably priced. Service was friendly with a smile and well mannered. A great little go to for breakfast, lunch or just afternoon tea and cake. A nice little additional option in the area.

Stopped here for coffee and cake as a group of 4 cyclists doing the “Cantii Way” route. Cyclist friendly with a big bike rack in the pretty back garden. Tasty sausage rolls and cakes, and a lovely Labrador dog called Bob. Friendly staff were very patient with us faffing around deciding what to order, and then brought everything out to us at our table. Would highly recommend.

A couple of days ago I had a delicious bowl of warming soup in The Old Post Office Coffee Shop. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere friendly. I will be returning

Called in for a late ish lunch. Coffee was great, food excellent and the girls in there were very friendly and helpful. Also took a slice of coffee cake home for later which was delicious. Thoroughly recommend and we will definitely go back.

Beautiful, friendly coffee shop. Very good coffee that's expertly made. Flat white was amazing and the raspberry, white choc muffin was to die for.

We happened to stumble on this coffee shop whilst away from home in Ashford purely because it was the only coffee shop open later than 3.30/4pm but we were really impressed. The atmosphere, decor, music is very relaxing and the tea and coffee was great. Nice to see well behaved dogs relaxing in there too. Food was really nice, stops serving at 4pm which I think is nice that the cafe doesn't fully close, you could still have tea and cake late afternoon if you wanted to. Interesting vegetarian/vegan options outside the norm and the cake selection was really good with vegan/gf options. You can tell its a family run business with attention to detail and customer experience. We are planning to travel to come back again in the future :)

I took my mum here for afternoon tea as a treat. I had never been here before or heard of it, just found it after a bit of Googling of nearby places that offered this. Long story short, I narrowed down my choices and decided to give this place a shot based on locality and good reviews. I personally never leave reviews unless super impressed and, it's safe to say that, both my mum and I, loved every single item of food from our platters! We couldn't fault anything; the quality of food was top notch and locally sourced, beautifully presented and/or homemade. I would highly recommend the salmon and cream cheese sandwiches (still dreaming about them now!) and the selection of cakes was a pleasant surprise as I was only expecting the scones. In fact, we were so full/satisfied by the time we had our scones, that we had to take the other cakes in a takeaway box! Atmosphere was perfect and relaxed, décor was tasteful etc. All in all, experience was just great and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back!

We had such a nice lunch in this café yesterday.
Originally we were going to be five adults and two children but another neice and her three children joined us to make our party ten in total !
With no bother another table was
added which was great.

Amazingly all ten varied meals arrived at the same time and it was all eaten (which says something with five very excited children ranging from five to ten
years )
All was freshly prepared and very
delicious.

Another bonus was ,there were no complaints or disapproving looks as two great nephews in particular were really enjoying themselves and quite noisy .

Such a lovely cafe with excellent food. Really friendly staff. Popular with cyclists of which two big groups came in while we were there. Cycle parking bar available! Food was fresh and tasty. GF options available. A great stop in a pretty village with friendly people

There were 3 of us and we shared scotch eggs, sausage roll, a pasty and 2 date and apple slices...Yum
