ALDI

The new Aldi at Farnborough Gate is excellent. Always easy to park and at the moment there aren't too many queues at the tills. The self service tills are quite good as well although the assistant told me that if you buy anything with a reduced sticker on it you have to get the assistant to put it through the till otherwise it won't deduct the discount. That was a few weeks ago so perhaps in the meantime they have corrected it but it is worthwhile just checking.

Nearly everything you need in one shop. It's nicely spread out so you don't feel crowded. Everything that is needed fresh is fresh and affordable. And of course the MIDDLE ISLE, who doesn't love the middle isle. My favourite thing is there are self service tills so don't have to queue if you're just grabbing something quickly.

Brand new store, doors on the chillers, with plenty of isles to walk down.
Spoilt for choice on the special section.
Clean and friendly staff.
Self checkouts for shoppers with smaller shops.

Sunday is the busiest day.

Went in to have a look all I brought was veg and salad stuff and the veg looked more fresh and better than Morrisons or ASDA def but veg and salad stuff there again

Great place qith reasonable prices. Unfortunately there are some items you couldn't find them there unlike other supermarkets, e.g. asda and tesco.

Love that there are self checkouts

This store is organized and has a decent size. The self check-outs are a big benefit as this reduces the time you have to wait in line when only getting a few items significantly. Staff was still getting used to the store so did not know where items were to be found but this is understandable giving the fact they only opened less than a month ago. Unfortunately I do miss an in-store bakery which other low cost supermarkets do. The only thing that would've made a difference for me is that it is much closer by than lidl. However, this is unfortunately ruined by the extreme amount of traffic getting in and out of the retail park. I know this is not necessarily in Aldi's hands but it makes a lot of people avoid shopping there as the queues to get in and out of the car park can be very long on most days. This is why I'm giving it 4 stars.
