The whole evening was extremely enjoyable. We had food and drinks. The food came promptly and was exactly as ordered even though we were a large group. The guys that served us were so helpful and welcoming. Curtis greeted us the moment we walked through the door and ensured we were catered for the entire time. Jade, Katie and Dara were also working at the time and made our visit an experience we would definitely recommend to others.

Another enjoyable evening at the Crab. We had food and drinks and did the quiz, as we have been doing for many years. Curtis and Jade working hard as usual making the whole evening a pleasurable one.

I have been a regular customer to this pub for about almost a year now, since I had moved to work in the UK as our offices are based not far from this establishment.

The location is pretty nice with a charming decor giving a warm welcoming atmosphere, namely with a indoor open chimney - perfect for the gloomy cold winter days. Not to forget the quite large terrace space the pub offers, perfect to enjoy a lunch outside when the sun deems to shine (the simple pleasure of life am I right ?)

The staff with their attentiveness helpfulness and welcomeness also contribute greatly to the overall good atmosphere. Indeed they always welcome us with smiles and manage to get à is a table despite never booking in advance. Also by now, the staff knows most of our go to order.

Now the piece se resistance : the food.
Well it is your usual pub food. No fancy twist, just the classic dishes well prepared. See attached photo for yourself.A good value for money, particularly with the lunch set menu and the day to day special offers.

Overall a well deserved 5-stars review.

And I would have added an extra star if it was possible for this one time in winter when the car’s battery would not start because of the cold weather. So we sought shelter in the pub while waiting for the bus, and discussing about the situation with Amy , the manager, she spontaneously offered to give us a lift back home while the pub was crowded in mid service, after helping us first to jump start the car with her cables. Forever grateful.

Very tasty food, I had Chicken Tika then Eton Mess. My wife had Ham Egg & Chips followed by Cheesecake. Excellent service and friendly staff. Quiet on our visit today but has been busy on previous visits. Prices are very reasonable. This is our favourite eatery.

Fabulous food including delicious puddings. Good value. Good range of real ale. Lovely staff, nice decor and ambience despite there being very few other customers. Toilets spotless, plenty of parking. Would definitely go again.

Great local, the food was lovely and Jordan was very helpful and patient with all our changes and requests. Can recommend the halloumi and chips.

Very nice small town pub with lots of room, comfortable tables, open fire place and lots of parking. Outdoor area as well. Reasonably priced menu with a varied selection. Great selection of beers on tap.

Always a lovely experience when we come here. The food was great and the lovely young lady we met when we came in greeted us and seated us straight away without a booking. Very friendly.

We held my Nan's wake here today. We were able to have food, drinks and share memories and photos as we wanted. The staff were accommodating, friendly and respectful. We could not have asked for more. Thankyou Crabtree staff, especially Amy!
