Penwithick Post Office & Store

I love the Penwithick post office. It’s my local, the staff are friendly, the shop is well stocked and plenty of parking outside. The post master is also helpful, he will say if something is going that day or the next and checks I have asked for the right method of post which is great. I always go to this post office as it’s always a great experience. I feel welcomed here

This is my most regular shop. I find the staff to be courteous, humorous and helpful. Delivery days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On these days you should be able to acquire everything you need.

Wonderful staff and owners awesome prices and a range of different foods and drinks. A real credit to have in our little villiage

A well run, well stocked, spotlessly clean village shop and Post office. Like all village shops, they can't begin to compete with supermarkets on price and they are certainly not the cheapest village shop in the St Austell catchment BUT they are open all day, every day and so their wage bill must be substantial. Almost all of the staff are unfailingly friendly (or perhaps it's only me that one particular staff member has taken umbrage toward for some unknown reason!) and most welcoming. The Post Office and counter staff are first class (pun intended). A lifeline in our village and we must always support them.

Visited this shop this morning in order to access post office facilities. There were no signs on the door , couldn't see anyone else in shop so attempted to enter (complete with mask). As soon as I went through the door the shop assistant shouted at me to leave.
Eventually I was allowed to enter, but there was no explanation as to why I was shouted at.

However the lady behind the post office counter was very pleasant when serving me.

As a visitor to the area and a pensioner I found this very upsetting. Certainly not impressed with the assistant ( not very assisting) or her customer care attitude. Perhaps she should retrain!!!!!!

Thankfully our local shop at home has staff that are polite and helpful at all times, even managing to put a sign on the door regarding entry, or at busy times the door is managed.

my name is Mrs crocker i visited the post office this morning on the behalf of my auntie who is mentally severely disabled i went to pay a bill for her and i felt very intimidated as the man behind the counter read through her bill that i was paying for her and started questioning what herself and my family lived in .IE a caravan my parents and myself own the caravan park in hallaze and he in my eyes was making fun because of this and saying i bet we are all cold living in one of those and he was smirking at the same time . i do not think this a very professional manner on how you treat customers it shouldnt matter who you are or what you live in you should all get treated the same .
you wouldnt like it if i came in to your shop saying things about your culture i am not happy at all i will not be giving you my custom anymore
