I visited this place on 29thdec 2023 n its absolutely relaxing.
Old school feeling.
Food is ok .we tried veg grilled sandwich, french fries n cold cofee.
Dont expect too much from food but staff n ambience vibe is defnitely a plus in small town .

I stayed here for a cup of tea and was mesmerized by this place. A quaint sylian retreat tucked away at the entrance to the Maheshwar fort. The foliage and the canopy hide this gem from the outside world. I would advise everyone to stop here and have a nice soothing cup of tea and forget worries for a while.

This place is right at the entrance of Ahilya fort. The rooms are part of the fort, heritage style, well maintained. Service and staff behavior is good. We booked two rooms on the spot as we reached in evening. Next morning we visited the fort, temples and Narmada ghat. All are at walking distance. People in Maheshwar are very friendly.

Absolutely loved this place. Unfortunately was unable to secure a 2 day stay due to non availability of rooms. Food options are limited but the food is very good. Walking distance to the fort. Prompt and friendly staff that will go the extra mile. Great ambience.

Be careful of mosquitoes during 1-2 hours in the evening.

Would love to visit again for sure.

We stayed 3 nights in the Bee-Eater room and it was a special experience to stay on the top of the city gate with 2 private patios. Highly recommended! Restaurant ambiance is fabulous but the food is lacking. Would love to see some dishes with fresh vegetables or fruits.

Rooms: It isn't easy to do up a heritage property, and I think they've pulled off a good one (atleast the Bee Eater was good)
Service: Very prompt and courteous staff
Location: I was delighted to stay within a fort premise for the first time, the walk towards the ghat, proximity to the river and the palace made it a perfect location.
Food: I've always found it hard to find simple, clean local cuisine in such places. I think the food was simple and delicious.

Peaceful and Delicious food

This place is just outside the Ahilya Devi fort.
Ambience is good. Food is delicious.
You have to place and order over the counter once you go inside. They have plenty of options available here. I loved the cold coffee there.

Labboo's cafe gave me one of the best lodging experiences of my life. They are probably rated lower on Google reviews today because they don't have a conventional cafe that people expect- service isn’t quick, there aren’t a lot of food options, and they take their last order by 7.30. But trust me, if you are staying here, you are going to have an amazing time.

I did the booking for the stay by contacting their manager through the number i found online. My booking experience wasn't all that good to be honest. So my impression of the place wasn't that good until I arrived. After that, everything changed :p. They were very sweet people - the guard, the helpers, the manager. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The rooms were incredible (both the Bee Eater and the Magie pie).
Magpie has two windows where you can sit and gonk outside. Though the view is mostly covered by bushes. Though the view on the window of Bee Eater is open and you'd enjoy sitting there. The open area by the Bee eater room is amazing too. Overall, the lodging experience was great.

Now onto to the food. They had complementary breakfast with the booking. So you could order 2 things out of the list the handed out- options included things like Poha, Aloo Paratha, sandwich, bread butter, toast, tea, coffee. It was a small list. But the food was great.
For lunch/ dinner, you can tell them what you want to eat and around what time would you like to eat and they'll do the preparation accordingly. They don't have a lot of crowd usually, so they prepare as per request ( for which reason, their prep time can be loong for the people only coming to eat here, it's not a quick grab and bite place ). Thing I tried here:
- Veg thali 3/5
- Paneer pakoda 5/5
- Noodles 4.5/5
- Manchurian 5/5
- Poha 4.5/5
- Aloo Paratha 4/5
I loved their food, especially Paneer pakoda and Manchurian. Just Amazing! Worth every penny and more.

I had a few safety concerns for the bee eater room which I passed on to the manager and I hope they’ll be addressed.
All in all, it was an amazing experience and would recommend you to try Labboos for sure.

Note: Maheshwar is a slow placed town. The kitchen in labboos closes by 7.30 PM. So order ahead.

Basic clean rooms in the Lodge, all in a historic gatehouse. Great for a quick stay in Maheshwar. The Cafe is nice too and the slow service can also be postively understood as laidback. The food is very good.

The ambience is awesome, rooms are clean and well designed, staff are courteous and ever smiling, food is tasty and served hot.
We stayed for 2 days here. You get the thrill of practically staying inside a fort.
The cafe gets busy on weekday evenings and through the day on weekends. The food is freshly prepared and served hot so sometimes there is a delay.. So if you can see a crowd and are in a hurry, pls do not order and get disappointed. But if you have some time at hand and want to eat fresh, piping hot food then this is the place to be.
Also the staff is from the village, but their smiles does not go away even when things go wrong, they make a sincere effort to make things right. Much much better than trained 5 Star hotel staff.
We were 12-13 of us and enjoyed every moment that we spent here. Highly recommended if you want to take a small break, relax, explore the artistic carvings of the fort and the mandir, and enjoy the narmada ghat.

We enjoyed our time at the cafe, lovely- little place. Amidst the canopies of neem trees, a place one should surely visit. Paneer Pakora is a must have. Masala chai as well to wake up your tired feet.

Stay : Rooms are small but clean and cozy. Some rooms don't have bathroom doors. Confirm once before booking.

Food : Decent food.
Parathas are good.
Sandwiches etc can be improved.

Location : Great location. Located right in the fort.
Ghat, kashi vishweshwar and fort Maheshwar are 5 mins walk from here.

Special mention to Ravi, who was the manager there. He was very helpful throughout our booking process and stay.

It's a lovely cafe with trees all around. The ambience is good. I ordered cold coffee, hot coffee, tea, sandwiches and idli sambhar, everything was really delicious. Cold coffee was amazing. It is simple and wonderful. It has limited menu. Its lodges too are lovely. Happy staff and fresh food. Thanks!

Quaint little place! Among the more memorable holidays that we have had. The rooms have been uniquely carved out in the entrance arch of the fort wall. Their staff were so ever smiling and helpful, that made our stay, comfortable. :)

Perfect cafe! Totally hygienic and proper homemade food.
After tiring day we reach this cafe in evening.
We had ordered
Aloo paratha - highly recommended. Aunty made aloo paratha so delicious.
Omelette
Paneer paratha
Chai
Everything is good in food.

Situated in a prime location. Also it’s decorated so simple but classy.

100% recommended places 👍🏻

Note: It’s take time to prepare order as they don’t store or prepared food in advance.
