Shri Maheshwar Fort

Amazing place to visit in any season. It might be a Little inconvenient to visit on a hot summer day. Overall a great experience. You can sit along the river side and enjoy peaceful cold winds.

Maheshwar is a very beautiful place❤. First of all we saw the throne of Devi Ahilya Bai, where she used to sit & rule.

Then after we moved towards Narmada Ghat. There we took lots of photographs, we also took a photo from a photographer for which he charged ₹ 50, that photo was given a lot of attention.

After that we took a boat ride. Which charged us 50rs per person.

Then we visited the main temple area of Devi Ahilya Bai fort, we went to the temple of Lord Shankar ji and Prabhu Ram ji It is a very beautiful temple and its carving is amazing 😍. It's a beautiful experience ❤.

I loved the place - The river, The Fort, The temple The whole journey.

Then we visited Maheshwar market from where we bought a ring, a locket and a keychain. We also tried snacks from the market they were very tasty.

Just outside of the palace there is a cafe where we ate noodles & butter milk which cost us around 200rs. It is a very nice cafe.

Be careful if you are traveling with older family members. There are several steps which you need to go up and down here in this fort. Also, it was very crowded as so many school groups were also there. Overall it was nice to visit that place. We had a boat ride as well.

Very nice place for half day tour

Ro be honest i will say Varanasi lite 😅 because i visited the place in evening and it was a clear day the sur set i enjoyed was memorable here and very calm but the businesses here are somewhat disturbed you but the view was very good and beautiful 😍❤❤❤

Rani Ahilyabai Holkar majestic lord Shiva temple. Beautiful temple at Narmada bank. You may also visit Rani Ahilyabai Holkar temple in her palace where many Shivling are present and also one 22 kg gold jhula lord Krishna (Bal gopal) A Banyan tree which is more than 250 years of age but still have no extra roots and still only 24 inch in diameter.

This fort is situated on the banks of Narmada river. You can explore the nearby temples and can have a soothing evening sitting near the river.
