Tharangambadi Maritime museum is maintained by Danish Indian Cultural center. This place hosts various artefacts, documents, weapons like knife and others, boats, books, deal documents used by Danish generals and officers. It also has a separate room in first floor which tells about various places in Denmark. They also sell coins and other items. Attaching few images for reference.

Wonderful place, perfectly maintained by the authorities. Worth spending 1-2 hours to learn about the Danish conquest and their contributions in India. Postcards of Tranquebar are sold here.

About Tharangambadi
Town in India

Tharangambadi, formerly Tranquebar, is a town in the Nagapattinam district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu on the Coromandel Coast. It lies 15 kilometres north of Karaikal, near the mouth of a distributary named Uppanar of the Kaveri River. Tranquebar was established on 19 November 1620 as the first Danish trading post in India. King Christian IV had sent his envoy Ove Gjedde who established contact with Raghunatha Nayak of Tanjore. source
