We contacted them via phone. They responded well and quickly. The beach house is more of a cottage or home than a resort. It's fitted in between nature. The beach view rooms, the birds, the amenities, and the service were all amazing. Food is provided based on pre order. They are flexible and also provide boating services if informed prior. Go for it.

The sea facing rooms are amazing in terms of view and amenities. Didn't expect such comfort in the small village of Tranquebar. The only missing element is a shower. The place is happily colorful, full of domestic birds , yet tranquil, and one starts unwinding right from the first step, as soon as Mr Shankar welcomes you. The meals served are simple, tasty and wholesome.All the built heritage and the beach are just a few steps away, and the bus Stand I 5 minutes walk, and well served by buses plying between Karaikal and Chidambaram.

This place will win your heart immediately. Antique house converted to resort. Old furniture antique items add another level of beauty. Very close to sea and famous Danish Fort. Rooms are wonderful big. Clean linen on bed. Neat and clean washroom. Very friendly and homely behavior. And super tasty food. Very authentic local cuisine.

It was really a very pleasant and mainly a mind calming n relaxing stay... Though the only place to visit maybe the beach n the historic places on its shore, the stay mainly gave a calming effect away from the busy chaos of city life..!! And the ambience was very nice ,and most importantly the food was really awesomeeee !!!! If you give the menu be it veg or non veg , they prepare it at the home in the most clean home style n give a superb food taste n experience....on the whole ..it was so lovelyyyy !!! Thank you royal house...👍

The place have been nothing but awesome, the room service was very hospitable. It is kind of hard to get this kind of antique based set up stay place in tharagambadi. The beach and the breeze was one among the best highlights of this place. It was an over all amazing place to be put up and I would very much recommend Royal house to anyone who visits Tharagambadi.

Nice place to stay.... Well maintained traditional rooms.... Staffs are so kind... Foods are too good prepared homestyle and as our wish... Hereafter, when ever we go Tranquebar our only choice to stay is Royal House....

I did not stay here, but it looked very nice and is 2500.00 rubies a night. Walking distance to the Danish Fort and the beach. This is in a quiet section so that should be a help.
They also have a large collection of breeding parakeets that are fascinating to watch, if you like birds. Wanted to get this posted on Google maps so others could be aware of it's existence.

The best place to stay in Tranquebar..had a wonderful time staying with them and would love to make my trip to this place again soon... undoubtedly, Royal House would be our only destination here. A big thanks to the management for providing such exceptional hospitality in the middle of nowhere!

Located centrally, close to the danish fort, the beach and everything, rooms are good. Quality BF and lunch by service minded staff is provided though at cost but elsewhere there is no restaurant in the town. Mr Mohan the owner humble to the core,takes personal interest of the customers. Mr Shankar, the manager is an asset to the hotel coordinates very well. A Nice and enjoyable place. My personal thanks to all of them.Strongly recommended
